Considering the amount that we're getting from payments this season (61m) and that its more than united got for winning the league in 12/13, id expect nothing less than a title push. Plus the big names in the club which will undoubtedly be leaving.

NO NO NO - " OGS is a better manager than MM " - Mr Tan .

So give OGS the same backing as MM had so we can get back to the premier league.
Along with who is the better manager/who could have kept us up etc etc ...

OGS - Has now got the time to show he has what it takes to build a promotional squad ;)

You NEED to go back up.

As the prem team coming down you have an advantage over all but 2 of the other teams as you have parts of a premier league squad and of course bigger spending power as a result.

If you dont go back up then some more Prem players will leave, leaving you more and more with each passing year with a championship squad. Every year 3 relegated teams come down and you automatically go down the pecking order. The longer you stay the harder it is to get out.

GENIUS!

Of course we need to go back up!!

The urgency isn't as immediate as you say though. We can afford one season in 2nd tier with parachute payments to buffer the negatives.

I hope Tan reads your posts because guess what: The longer you stay down, the harder it is to make the quantum leap. He needs this as much as the club.

As for the other relegated teams: They are in a scrap with us now. Here's where we have experience!!!

It is true what you say and makes perfect sense. We lose Premier players the main spine of our squad when relegated to championship league and your also right , the longer we leave getting promoted the harder it will get. I read some threads on here saying they hope Cardiff don't go straight back up. That is crazy talk. No time like the present I say. Plus Cardiff as a club still have fresh belief so we must capitalize on that confidence. Each year we fail to get promoted we lose a little more confidence, become more in debt due to no big TV money and a weaker team due to the quality of our players diluting.
Very Good post babes X

Totally agree with Roath. It has to be straight back up or will not happen for god knows how many years..

Us to go back up! Tan to sell the club! New Owner to change us back to BLUE!!! :bluescarf: Its that simple... :D

I want us to go back up but I sadly don't think Tan will go so easily unless he publically announces the club is up for sale like Randy Lerner has at Villa

:?

so ? we should already be a good championship club. the 3 relegated sides last season finished in the top 7 and there is no reason we cant do the same (with even more money coming in than those clubs had)

I would be happy with that.
