Police have released CCTV footage as part of their hunt for people involved in violence at last week's Championship play-off semi-final.

Chief Superintendent Colin Morgan has described the disorder:

"This incident started with some pushing and shoving at the top of the stand. It quickly turned nasty as a large group of supporters and stewards fell and were forced backwards down the steep stairway that separates the stands.

"It was made worse by some supporters who then chose to punch, push and kick at the stewards. It was pure luck that no-one was badly hurt. We will deal robustly with those responsible for disorder, whether inside or outside football venues, and we will bring them to court."

Scum i hope the tosser whose throwing punches at the end gets a long jail sentence and the gutless c**t at 43s pushing people down the steps gets hurt badly very soon.

In defence of the lads involved I will say the stewards at QPR are absolute wankers & deserved every bit of that last Monday.

For years we had local people as stewards & never ever had problems, anyone stepped out of line a steward would 9 times out of 10 know the lads involved & after a quiet word calm was restored. The last couple of seasons for reasons unbeknown QPR have taken to employing meat head Eastern Europeans & Africans to steward the games & they have become VERY VERY heavy handed. There has been numerous incidents this & last season due to their attitude towards people & last week was a culmination of many things.

Before the game last Monday against Wigan after coming out of the bogs I personally witnessed a steward around 6 ft 4 & at least 15 stone grab a kid of around 14 up against a wall & was giving him hassle because he hadn't shown his season ticket to people on the stairs, he just showed it 5 feet before that to the turnstile operator ffs!! I said oi f*cking leave him alone you big f*cking bully to which he replied nothing to do with you. I said yes it is that's my nephew you prick (it wasn't) to which he said ok no problems enjoy the game. Enjoy the game???!! Knob! The young kid looked scared witless.

I agree the fella pushing the crowd down the stairs was a bit daft but everything else they deserved & will get more of unless QPR wisen up fast.

apart from being less than helpful , many see themselves as having authority first and foremost, being there to be helpful comes way down in their list of priorities...this sort of clip one clubs fans fighting the stewards, is now far more common than 2 sets of fans having a go............often the fans are in high spirits,with their mates and had a few drinks.......the stewards are sober,and trained?????.....the main concern of the stewards should be safety, the young and old being injured should be in the equation of what happens should they try to evict this someone.....truth be told with CCTV at all games is there is no need for a mid game snatch squad anymore other than in extreme circumstance..

I cringe every time I see someone screaming at the stewards, they are on minimum wage and are taking orders. Target their bosses but of course those that are hard enough to want to give a steward a "battering" won't say anything to the men in suits.
