Grant Leadbitter is being chased by Cardiff and Reading.

The former Sunderland midfielder’s experience is attracting many championship teams and Cardiff and Reading are leading the way to try and sign the 28 year old.

The Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka is a fan of Leadbitter and is keen to keep him.

I've always rated him, especially when he was at Sunderland but he's seemed to have gone off the radar over recent years.

Who knows if he does sign he could be exactly what we need to balance our midfield.

If he's free or near enough cheap then I don't see why not. I'd still have hope on signing Clayton but Leaderbitter would be decent at this level

Boro fans suggesting the fee wanted is 2.5m+

With Medel going I still don't think we need him. But I guess Ole likes to have a huge squad at his disposal.

Haven't really seen him play much but I'd me happy with Gunnarsson/Eikrem in the defensive role.

No thank you. Clayton is 2 years younger and has time on his side, been performing quite well too. Our strongest position is probably our CM's so unless they had some bite no thank you, we need a CDM but not for that price and age

Plus Clayton only has 1 year left on his contract so we could get him for around 1mil
