Manchester City are still willing to let three of their homegrown players leave this summer despite the restrictions placed on the club for failing to comply with UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules.

Man City set to announce they are about to release 5 British players.

Micah Richards, Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair, Gareth Barry and Joleon Lescott.


We need more British players playing at the top.

Just look at Ramsey.

Surely they will all end up at other british clubs?

Shame we are not still in the premier league because ant of the 5 would make great addition to our squad

Better English players playing in the premiership than sat in the stands at Man City. Those good enough will get to the top.

This. The only one that's disappointing out of that lot is Rodwell as he made the wrong move from Everton. It's halted his progress

They can't just be given a chance because they are English. Most knew when they signed they wouldn't get a chance but they went for the money.
They can get games at other clubs if they want to. Players that are good enough will get game time if they want it.

I agree. Sinclair chased the money and has been benched at best ever since. Better for these good players to be with mid-table clubs and playing most Saturdays than being sidelined.

No one cares about the international game. It's all about the clubs. Get used to,it.

It's actually good for British football as they should get to play some games.

To be honest when you look at those players quite a few of them moved to Man City knowing their playing time would be limited and they went for the cash. If they had gone to other teams in the Premier League they would have at least had more of a chance to play - I find it difficult to sympathise with players who choose cash over playing time... especially when, even in teams like Everton, Southampton, Villa and Newcastle, the salaries are still incredibly high. At least now they'll get some playing time so that is good.

Sinclair would be a good signing for us, proven in Championship

Richards could play for anyone in the Prem, quality player.. should be used at CB.
