There is no way he is going to get better next season unless it comes out he's had a drink problem or been struggling and has gotten over it.
its a few million quid down the pan, he wont even be able to play that many games just get his doctor or physio to write him a sick note

Like said above he doesn't have the drive any more and is on decent wages which could bring in someone who's going to help towards promotion not someone who'll only play a handful of games
