The ones who keep on about the debt?

Fri May 16, 2014 2:46 pm

How do you feel that cardiff will be spending millions on players for next season?
Do you on one hand moan about the debt but on the other hand welcome cardiff buying players?
Or do you want us to just get free transfers and loans?

I'm not asking City to spend millions next season, I just put out the news if they have bought or sold a player.

Personally I believe if they could hang on to most of their squad they would have a strong squad for next season.

We will sell some big names and hopefully reduce the massive debt Tan has created and if were run properly the £62mill we receive over time will also reduce the debt.

There will be some great free signings available(plus signing on fees)if we look hard enough, when clubs release players, we need to sort out this massive debt created mostly in the last 2 years. The accounts will be out soon.

I dont care about big names, never have, I prefer battlers and a some class to go with them.
But if an owner is daft enough to throw his money around, u cant blame managers.

We need the debt cleared as promised 2 years ago, no more false promises, lets sort it now.

Main reason we are in these depts are gross overspend on wages and player signings last two years. I am not a hypocrite to want Tan out and spend his money at the same time. I also understand it's impossible for him to turn all his loans to equity when the stock of the club is going down, and there is not enough assets for the loans to turn. I am happy Ole has come out and said they need to cut cost, which indicate the club is in the process of a sustainable rebuild. Don't think any one would buy us at this point, so the dictator needs to get this right before he leaves.

Not necessarily. But wages must drop, and we can't go about rating players like Sucker Tucker did today. You can't buy players like Medel and sell them with a loss, and on silly wages. We are not Barcelona! Players bought need to generate profit.

im nervous,i wish we could be more restrained with spending,we seem to hasve a chuck money at it attitude and i honestly dont think that is the way,i would rather see a group of players playing as a team with no big egos...but just my opinion... :ayatollah:

I wish that money was not wasted, nothing wrong with spending as long as it's within your budget. If one month I earn 6k then spending 2k on what I want is fine but if I were to earn 1k per month then spending 2k is stupid. Also several cases of stupid spending on certain players, and how much did the rebrand cost?

I hope that if we sell medel and caulker we will use their money to buy/loan players i hope we don't go spending silly amounts.

the club is more or less owned by VT..........and the debt is to VT.......and as long as that remains dont see there is a problem..

the problems will arise as
they have at many clubs.......if the owner sells the club on to someone with that debt still in place and the new owner fails to maintain payments........been here before, and its what happened to Pompey......

Well I doubt that will happen this season with Tan now taking more of an interest.

I certainly can see the parachute payments covering this seasons transfer kitty and wages specially if we sell off the likes of Caulker and Medel.

I've tried to explain to him that paper profits are different to actual profit but he doesn't seem to be able to grasp it.

Things can be amortised at football clubs and some things done even have to go on the profits and loss sheet at all.

If I had an income of 30,000 and 25,000 of it was covered by living throughout the year leaving me with 5000 profit come December for Xmas....

If I then was offered a brand new car for 65,000 with 4,000 to be paid immediately and then the other 61,000 next year and decided to do the deal....

I could indeed say on paper I made a 1,000 profit for that year. Good news to the simple.....However in reality that 1,000 paper profits I far from good news as in the coming months it Is owed elsewhere plus my whole income is owed twice over for next year and I don't even have money to live.

Paper profits eh?
