There are only 5 teams who can realistically WIN the PL though, and 7 that are far better than the rest.
I work with a West Brom fan he said he preffered when they were yo-yoing.

i suppose you can say whats the point in all of it then?
We arent going to be winning the premier leauge or qualifiying for the champions league, i suppose things like cup wins or europa league is never out of the equation, but whats the point in willing your team to do well in the championship, celebreating promotion or winning the league, only for people to claim they never wanted to be in the prem in the first place?
West Brom had an amazing season last year, finished something like 8th? if that was us, i be excited at what could come next, could we maintain and move forward? unfortunately its been a woeful season for them this year and i imagine they will go down next season now.

I dont know which I would say was the better position. I think it will take me a fair while into next season to work out which I prefer, What do you think
PLEASE DONT TURN THIS INTO A RANT AGAINST TAN

And only 25% can win the championship probably.
I bet you i can name the winner if you give me 6 choices every single season.
Its competitive because the standard of football is pretty poor in the main.
This is the cardiff city view in a nutshell, if you can have it now then its not worth having. Anything you have no work for and you arent bothered.
As ive said on another forum, we have strived to be self sufficient meaning any profits are 100% ours. £25m profits oer year in a decade is a wuarter of a billion. A amount to challenge anybody.

Ask palace and hull fans if they want to go back to the championship. It's funny the only fans that ever try to make a case for this is the relegated one's and its crazy to read. Funny that.
It's an age old case of "I didn't like her anyway"

I always like to see us challenge with the best in the world which would be Premier League and that will always remain the same, I accept we weren't good enough and we are back where we 'Belong' but I for one don't want us see us remain here for 5 years or more, I wanna see us in the top 12, trying to get at the play offs or the automatic position.
But, unless you trying to get a cup like you did then I wouldn't like us establishing ourselves in the Prem seasons on end but throwing the cup just to make sure we remain in the Prem, Newcastle even by mid December never really looked liked even being in the bottom 5 but could have had a go at the FA Cup but we beat them, could have seen us out but were quite happy to let us get back in the game and a stunning Noone goal got us back in it and built momentum and we got the 2nd to win the game.

Establishing doesn't mean stagnating.
Each premier league year our squad has strengthened and our bank balance increased. It's all about slow and steady growth. Too many Cardiff ans think boom or bust is the only way.
The vast majority of cups are won by premier league clubs let's not forget. Although it must be said the importance of domestic cups is something left firmly in the 90's unfortunately and let's be fair it's not like you win them anyway. So surely it's better not win them in the premier than not win them in the championship?
Stuck at championship level the club cannot grow. It all seems rather pointless, especially for a fan base obsessed with size and potential. For all the bravado Cardiff fans are so lazy. If it can't be gotten now then there's no point it seems for many.

I think the point is when you are watchign your team get beat, and in the PL that will happen more often than not, its boring.
Winning games, which is more likely to happen in the championship is better. We dont celebrate goals or wins any less, its still the same buzz.
