Dont know how to take the impact of how i feel about the Man. Is he a Manager of Men who without Money led, us in his first season in Charge to a Cup Final and the Play-offs when, there was hardly any Money available?? Or, When The Manager who having lots of Money to spend totally dragged us into the proverbial Shit...with his frenetic spending on a Squad that would struggle in the Championship??
When he took over in 2010, Makay had to put together a Squad from the bare bones. A totally new Squad as the Team from the Jones era had virtually disintergrated. In his first Season he took the Club to the Play-offs and the Carling Cup Final losing, narrowly to Liverpool and dumped ceremoniously by West Spam in the Play-offs. 11/12 season was when Makay built a Squad that gelled and stormed the Championship with the majority of Players from the previous Season winning, the League in a Style that will never be forgotton by the Cardiff faithful for many years to come.
13/14 turned into a bit of a disaster for MAKAY. Having secured top flight football in the Capital for the first time in almost how long his extravagant spending on a Squad which lets face it would not light up League one, turned MAKAY'S Profile into freefall. Does this mean that MAKAY is a man who is at his best when there is no money available or, at his worst where there is lots of Money available??? The Premiership, as we all know is a Lottery where you either go for it or get left behind. I think Makay is a Private, reflective person when left alone to get on with managing can get the most out of a Squad that has no or very little money to get results.
The very savage nature of the Premiership where every minute detail is analysed put Makay in a very isolated position which ultimately was his undoing. And this much Money at his disposal was way too much for the man to, get the desired results.
Therefore, Makay for me is better suited at a Level where his Man-Management style will get results and sadly his level is the Championship.
