How do you see us in order of strength in Championship

Thu May 15, 2014 1:10 pm

We know Fulham have money and will be a top six club.

Norwich with their squad and mackays track record at this level they will be extremely tough to beat
QPR v Derby = If QPR Stay down there will be 3 or 4 real quality sides.
Again Derby aren't far behind on footballing terms

Ourselves - I think we will easily have goals in us to gain a challenge, I can see both our strikers potentially scoring 20+ with back ups healey, mason, maynard stepping in for injuries and suspensions we shoudlnt have dry spells up front.

Daehli will be the best midfielder in the league next season and we should have quality throughout the midfield. If we get our defense right we could go straight back up as champions

and then Brighton Wigan, Blackburn, Reading, Botlon, Leeds Middlesborough, forest any of which could have a good Season

Think we will be in the mix, one thing about the championship is, its so unpredictable, but we've been there before...many times! We won't be going into the championship not knowing what to expect, that's for sure

fulham lets be logical if they dont finish in the top 6 it will be nothing short of an outrage they have decent players to work with and willing to bring in talent to replace the old guard they've been relying on key players who are 29+ upto 35

you have to expect them to be challenging

i would expect all three relegated clubs to be challenging.

Fulham have a good manager and a good youth team by all accounts, plus it's been reported that they are going to spend big this summer. QPR and Derby will be strong, whichever one stays down. Brighton I think will have a poor season as their players will be picked off this summer whereas Watford will come back strong. Reading are a good side. Wigan will lose their players, I think a lot of their better ones stayed for European football.

I think Forest a and Blackburn will have strong seasons but Leeds and Boro shouldn't be a problem. Obviously we need to wait until September the first before we can make these claims after the transfer window has closed and we have seen each team play a few times. Wolves are always a test at this level and with Ollie at Millwall they could spring a surprise? Afterall he did it with Palace.

It's going to be a tough league next year and it may be the most divided yet as their are some really strong sides and some pretty awful sides like Charlton and Huddersfield.

Personally I'm more worried about our defence, than us scoring goals

If we lose marshall and dont find a quality keeper there will be trouble

Wait till august then we can start prediction threads.

Alough if I had to do a top 6 right now it would be.

1. Fulham
2. Qpr/Derby
3.Cardiff
4. Norwitch
5. Blackburn
6. Wolves

I think Cardiff has the best midfield in the league now, just need a new left winger. Possibly a right wing backup.

Defense is pretty average for now, unless a good left back is picked up soon.

Striking is poor, just really poor. Though I expect both Berget and Velikonja can do a job in the Championship.

Cardiff's promotion could be guaranteed by two above-average goal scorers. If Guerra and Grabban both go through, it should be no sweat. Also hoping Nyland signs if Marshall does go.

Another way of looking at things (positively, I'm afraid  ) is that in order to "achieve the minimum" (play-offs) Cardiff City need to finish in the top 25% of the division (4 x 6 =24) and not doing so would be an absolute disaster of "New Manager Required" proportions! ;)

I think even Ole would except that and I personally believe we will be up there at the top end come the season end
