Cardiff City earn £62m payout

Show how important it will to get Cardiff City bounce straight back to PL. Maybe this season Cardiff City are better off being generous on players fees. Getting the best possible squad to make a return.

that 62 million pales in comparison to what we have already spent though.

That will barely cover your wage bill and the purchase of Medel. In fact, it probably wont.

Genuinely.

Sure there has been big overspending. But that payout be enough for wages sounds almost o.k. IF going straight back. If not succeeding, there can be danger for a big clear out of players season after. Falling into deep shit, but maybe then Tan finally takes his sunglasses and goes, and every bluebird being happy again.

I know we pay a lot in wages but no chance is our wage budget anywhere near that :!: Not even Tan is that stupid

Could anyone give an opinion of what they think are the average salary? It then should be easy to do the math. Anyhow can´t run from the fact that you can get a long way with £62m when wisely spend.

We havent spend wisely though. 40 million on player transfers alone. Not including Wages, agent fees and signing fees, bonuses, stadium expansion etc etc.

best guess of basic wages, based on murmerings and rumours so clearly not 100% accurate.

Marshall - 25k
Connolly - 10k
Taylor - 10k
Caulker - 30k
Hudson - 12k
Turner - 15k
whitts - 25k
Medel - 25k
Jones - 37k
Campbell - 25k
Brayford - 15k
Kim - 20k
Smith - 15k
Wolff - 15k
Noone - 15k
Gunnersson - 12k
Mutch - 20k
Cowie - 15k
Mason - 12k
ralls - 5k
lappin 8k
mcnaughton 12k
Cala - 20k
KTC - 25k
Fabio - 30k
John - 8k
Daehli - 12k
Berget - 10k
Bellamy - 40k

Obviously this only constitutes an estimate, but thats £523,000 a week, which works out at £27,196,000 for the year. Thats without factoring in the 45k a week we paid for Cornelius between July and January, and roughly 60k a week for Zaha between February and May giving a figure of

£29,266,000

Which proves just how much we are paying the guys listed above, as im sure the yearly wage figure is much higher than that.

Thank you a lot for a detailed answer. I agree on you that money has not been used all that great. But for the FUTURE I believe this given money will be invested wisely. Ole needed economical help from Molde`s owner the first year. But the following 2 years the club was self-sufficient, using only money made from player-sales, ticket sale, merchandise etc. :thumbright:
