Bellamy to ponder Cardiff City future
BY BEN REARDON ⋅ MAY 14, 2014
Craig Bellamy is set to decide his future at Cardiff City within the next few days and weeks or so.
Bellamy applauded all four corners of the Cardiff City stadium, as the Bluebirds ended their brief one season stint in the top flight with a narrow 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea.
Bellamy looks set to leave Cardiff City
He also hugged Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho as he was substituted off the pitch, in what many saw as a fond farewell.Manager Ole Gunner Solsjkaer stated in his post match interview following the defeat to Chelsea.
“We’ve had chats and he’s going to think about what he wants to do in the future,” said Solskjaer.
“For everyone at the club it’s been a long trying and testing period and people need time to reflect and think about where you want to go and what you want to do.”
Bellamy has played 87 games in two spells at his beloved club, now at the age of 34 looks set to leave the club, or retire from professional football.
The Wales international has been linked with a move to the American MLS in recent weeks.

his beloved club?
Hope he doesnt stay, cant offer us what he did two seasons ago and would be picking up the same wage.
Wed May 14, 2014 2:26 pm
'beloved club'... ffs, he's a Liverpool fan!
Wed May 14, 2014 2:36 pm
I think he could be a decent coach... here? I don't know what opinions are of him behind the scenes. If it's positive then I hope he stays. That "beloved club" line did make me chuckle mind.

I hope he goes, too. He made a decent enough contribution here, so all the best for the future, Craig.
But spare us the 'his beloved club' stuff. It suited him, and us, for him to have a swansong here, but Bellamy is a Liverpool fan. To be fair to him, though, he's never hidden that fact.

applauded all four corners?..................

When substituted I assume and not after the game.

Hope he stays. He's been decent this year and I think he's got it for another year at a lower level.
Thing is he's not the one who parades the 'beloved club' shit. It's all from the media who thinks he's a Cardiff fan. He might support the club, behind Liverpool, but he's never come out and said we're his number one club
Wed May 14, 2014 3:07 pm
He must of went to clap the fans at anfield after he was taken off
Wed May 14, 2014 3:27 pm
Pay as you play deal at best, but everyone needs to ask if he really adds anything.
We desperately need so e experience next season, his wages could be used there.
Wed May 14, 2014 3:38 pm
If he doesn't retire then just let him go altogether, he one of many players who should go.
Wed May 14, 2014 4:18 pm
Hes just been swanning around taking the piss for two years. Plays when he feels like. Time off for this that and the other. f**k him off.
Wed May 14, 2014 4:20 pm
I thought Bellers was a Lpool fan
Wed May 14, 2014 4:53 pm
I was a fan of Bellamy, but I hope he leaves also huge wages and hardly plays. I would like to know more of the rumours that he went to the states for a break during the season, but the club stated he had a virus.
Wed May 14, 2014 5:13 pm
I hope he goes.
Wed May 14, 2014 5:17 pm
Hope the prick goes
Wed May 14, 2014 5:57 pm
Didn't he say in his book he couldn't do another Championship season?

Hard to believe some people's opinion on here.
So what that hes a liverpool fan.do you think gary medel had even heard if us before we waved a cheque at him ?
Bellamy would run himself in to the ground if his knees would allow it and any time hes on the pitch he gives everything , unlike a majority of the cunts we have supported this season. Bellamy has admitted that his heads up his arse due to his personal life and we all should remember what depression done to gary speed.get off his back

Wed May 14, 2014 6:41 pm
falls out with everyone everywhere he has been.....shouts at and bullies younger players on field.........contradicts himself all the time....and lets be honest ,other clubs put up with the mood swings ,because he changed games, he doesnt anymore.....
Wed May 14, 2014 6:43 pm
Hope he retires he hasnt been worth the wages. No pace anymore hardly scored a goal in 2 seasons. Thanks but time to go now.

So what if he's a Liverpool fan, let's get rid of the manager who is a Man Utd fan then shall we????
Carmarthan Bluebird, Craig went back to the states at his own expense to visit the Knee specialist who prolonged his career to see if there is any more that they could do for him, over the last 2 years he has had to change many things including learning to run differently etc also where it used to take him 24 hours to recover from the aches and pains of a game it is now taking 72 hours to recover sufficiently to train again which is why with 2 games in quick succession in the championship he says he probably couldn't take another season in the championship.
So some people on here who know absolutely nothing about the stresses and strains of professional football should think before they speak about him or call him a prick, because it is that prick who got us to the premier league, so thank you for all your efforts on behalf of our club and it's fans, thank you Mr Bellamy

Don't give a toss if he supports us or is a plastic Scouser, he's on big money and unlikely to play in much more than half our games. That being the case we shouldn't renew his contract.
Wed May 14, 2014 8:58 pm
Get shot, luxury we can no longer afford, he will play for beckham in the Mls.

Our Manager does think he's Mr Cardiff City the home grown hero who's always wanted to play here.

Time to move on. Not worth the gamble of the wages he would command. His decision making was poor in many of his Premier league appearances, probably due to his inability to stay fit and play consistently.
WIll always be remembered as a CCFC hero. Dropped a league (twice) to play in the Championship when he could have played a the top of the Premier League. His attitude and presence would have been no doubt a key factor in our promotion.
Scoring in your last home game of our only Premier League season against Chelsea. Go out on a high Craig.
Thank you Bellars!
