new stand and safety certificate

Tue May 13, 2014 9:08 pm

I thought that the new stand would have to be given a safety certificate before the Euro Super Cup could be staged.

If this is correct then surely there will be one or two significate friendlies before that game.

Anyone know if this will be the case?

Probably be a formality, if I remember right, the foundations of the stadium etc were built to hold a 60k stadium? And I bet safety officers are back and forth everyweek making sure its all being built to regulations

We will probably play there before the super cup final the league starts before it.

Some good points there lads that I hadn't considered.

Only trouble is the reported 900 season tickets sold for the new stand won't exactly test out the foundations then.

There will be more up there than just ST holders. You'll get another thousand easily buying on a match by match basis.

A fair few will go up there for friendlies just to check it out.
