I think that Brazil & Argentina have to start as favourites but Spain have a decent shout and as an outsider Belgium.
Tue May 13, 2014 8:46 pm
looks like i accidently voted for Belgium (meant brazil lol)
Tue May 13, 2014 8:52 pm
With the players Belgium have got, if they perform they have a good outside chance!

England have 1 vote, glad to see someone has a sense of humour

I said Germany, biased and also think they have a decent squad and got a great goalkeeper in Neuer.
Don't see the fuzz with Brazil at all.
France I think possibly might get it but Germany first choice.

I'm in favour of Belgium, they have a strong side, plus I have put a £20 bet on at 16/1 ages ago.

Looks like a quite open world cup with 8 teams getting votes. You can get 18/1 on Belgium at the mo. Bargain.

The home nation has a huge advantage in the World Cup, so it's difficult to see past Brazil. If not them, then Argentina.
Don't think that a European country has ever won in South America.

I'll be supporting Germany, and I hope Argentina have a shit tournament, after all their posturing over the Falklands islands. I know your supposed to leave politics out of sport, but still......fukem. Spain can fukoff anall, after the shit they stirred up over the rock of Gibraltar.

Brazil with Colombia a second favourites IMO.
Can't see a European team winning and neither do I feel Argentina will.
Top 4 IMO
1. Brazil
2. Colombia
3. Germany
4. Belgium

Also my dark horses are holland. They've got to win it sometime.

The heat will play a big part and European teams have a poor record in world cups in South America,I am going for Spain though simply because they are probably the best equipped to deal with the conditions and of course they are a very good side.
Tue May 13, 2014 9:43 pm
Spain seemed to let the crowd get to them last time they played a final in Brazil...against Brazil. I know its not the same as a worldcup, but If they do meet Brazil again, I don't fancy their chances
Tue May 13, 2014 9:45 pm
Argentina I think....
Tue May 13, 2014 10:31 pm
Argentina. Messi and Aguero strike force will win it for them, their defence isn't the best though which is a concern.

Other: Bosnia.
Their squad just as good as Belgium, and more balanced. A real underdog that I back to do well against most teams.

I think Germany will surprise everyone

I would not be surprised to see a South America 1-2-3-4 with Brazil winning a final against Argentina (if that's possible) with Chile and Colombia reaching the semi finals (if that's also possible?!). However, the game is truly global now and even though I doubt a European team will win it, I think it will be closer than many are suggesting.
If I had to punt on it I would say Brazil with Argentina as their main rivals. I think Spain, Netherlands and Germany will be in the running though. If Cristiano Ronaldo gets his A-game on then you can't rule out Portugal either.

i think Brazil and Argentina can meet in the final if they both win/come second in their group.

Belgium to win next Euros though!

It's been 59 matches since Brazil were last beaten in a competitive home match, plus they absolutely mauled the likes of Spain and Italy (don't forget that 2-1 win over Uruguay, either) in last year's Confederations Cup.
I know who my money's on.

Brazil don't even have a decent centre forward, Fred or Jo will be playing up front for them.
