"Dæhli should play in Premier League"

Tue May 13, 2014 3:02 pm

Per-Mathias Høgmo the manager of the Norwegian national football team said to the norwegian press today that he thinks Dæhli should be playing for a Premier League club. Hoping the coming international friendly against France and Russia will be a display for Dæhli.

And he don´t stop there. He also thinks Eikrem and Berget should leave Cardiff if they are not in Ole´s first team plan.

Disrespectful that considering we allowed him to come watch the team train and complimented Daehli. I think he needs to be a realist and hope that Daehli stays with us as he will get first team games here.

Surely at his age then regular Championship football at a club like us is better than being a bit part player in a Premier League side? I can see what he means about Eikrem and Berget. I'd like to see more of Eikrem next season.

:laughing6: bit of an overreaction to an obvious statement
The guy is obviously more interested in the future of his national team than cardiffs future. Daehli playing In PL benefits the national team. He is their new golden boy right?
The thing is He could get first team games for mid table to lower table teams in PL. but I think tan would only sell him for big money because he knows that in 1-2 years he will be worth so much more.
And the lower to mid table team won't have big money to spend on someone that inexperienced. So what you are left with are the big clubs who can't promise him first team football, he has already said no to one of them so that won't happen.
So I am confident that we can keep him for now at least. I would only worry if a team like Southampton shows interest tbh.
