O/T Playstation 3 help

My son has a ps3 and it keeps freezing now and again in middle of games. Does it with a few discs not just one game. Any gamers on here know what causes it and how to stop it?? All discs have no scratches either and its happening offline

its most likely the blu ray lens needs cleaning it happened to me take it to http://www.stwcomputerscardiff.co.uk/ and ask them to clean it ,they may offer you a replacement blu ray lens which is £60 but I got mine cleaned for about £30 I think and had it back same day

you can follow youtube on how to do it yourself you need some rubbing alcohol and some cotton wool, I did do it but when I put it back together I broke the ribbons ( they are really fiddly) that's why I had to take it there in the end to fix the ribbons
