' Solskjaer confirms striker swoop Cardiff City '

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed Cardiff will complete the signing of Real Valladolid's Javi Guerra when the La Liga season ends.

Boss Solskjaer is confident the Bluebirds will be able to complete a deal when the Spanish season comes to an end, despite the club's relegation from the Premier League.

The 32-year-old has managed 15 goals for Valladolid this season and Solskjaer believes the striker can make a big impact at the Cardiff City Stadium.

"He's still joining us, yes," said Solskjaer.

"It's a watertight contract all the papers are signed.

"He still needs to do his medical, but he will come and do that this month when the Spanish league has finished. That's all sorted though. After that, he joins us for pre-season." He added: "He scored a couple of goals on the weekend. He's a very exciting player.

" Guerra could form part of a new-look frontline for the Bluebirds in the Championship next season with reports suggesting Cardiff have also set their sights on 26-year-old Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban.

Grabban has a £3million release clause in his contract and Cardiff are understood to be leading the race for his signature, while Brighton have also been credited with an interest.

Great news.

Hope the defence is having some attention too. Our gd last season was shocking.

Score goals, don't concede. Simple.
