Bournemouth's free-scoring frontman could be a target for Cardiff City -

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is lining up Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban to join Javi Guerra in an impressive looking Championship front line - according to reports .

With time to prepare for his first full season at Cardiff City, the former Manchester United striker, who promises to attack the second tier with a forward line to fear, is in a battle with Brighton for the 22-goal Cherries striker.

But Oscar Garcia's resignation from the Amex Stadium today, puts Cardiff in pole position for the star's signature.

Grabban has a £3m release clause that would put him in the price range of the Bluebirds, who confirmed the transfer of the 32-year-old Spaniard yesterday .

The 26-year-old fourth top scorer came through the Crystal Palace academy and has played for Millwall, Brentford and Rotherham before becoming a big hit at Dean Court.

Good to hear. Our strikeforce hasnt been freshened up since we lost Chopra and Bothroyd.

Malky preffered work horses like Miller, Helguson, Campbell to exciting fast forwards.

We need proven goalscorers that can get 10+ goals in the season and ole can see that, personally I'm looking forward to the championship under Ole

Gestede is at Blackburn permanent and doing well - I for one am pleased for him.

Mason - potential but lacks out and out pace.

Maynard - shocking injury, will he ever get his pace and confidence back?

Campbell - should be sold

I'd be happy taking these 2 new strikers on, and either loaning either Mason or Maynard again - that said most clubs need 4 strikers, so...

I know he isn't a favourite and did nothing in the Premier League but Kenwynne Jones could be a great alternative in the Championship.

If you need four strikers Guerra, Grabban and Maynard would be complemented well by Jones.

Obviously there are many better target men but if we cannot get rid I wouldn't be too concerned.

He seems to have faded badly he looks completely immobile these days, hopefully we can get rid of him and get a target man that can run also....

my only worry is age,
We need one more in my oppinion young and exciting bags of talent.

26 going on 27 established now not a bad age but he has to get it right and look after himself in the right way to excell over the next few years.

Too many End up like chopra and bothroyd these days Age 30 never recapture best form due to lifestyle

Agreed, Chopra and Bothroyd were the ultimate strike-force in the Championship and we've definitely missed a partnership like that
