sky sports end of season review

All pundits (carragher, neville, redknapp and souness) blamed our relegation on malky being sacked. The same as every other respected voice in the game

Also I'm pretty sure these pundits weren't aware of the money that we spent to get promoted out of this division, they'll mention the League Cup final but not how much we spent. They then go on to speak about Chelsea spending 90m and not winning anything yet don't mention a newly promoted side spending 35-50m and finishing bottom :ayatollah: They are un-educated bar Neville. Neville didn't particularly put the blame on sacking Mackay

How much did we spend in Malkys 2 seasons in the championship?

His general point was that changing managers mid season very rarely works (exception of pulis) . How anyone can argue we wouldn't of been better of keeping malky staggers me.

12m on transfers, 30m on wages

That was his point, it has been proven a lot of the time, but he stood back after that and the moronic lot started banging on about using more British managers. Despite Ole being here for fifteen years as a player and coaching the youths of one of the biggest teams here he's a foreigner to the British game apparently

We probably would have been better if we kept Malky but that's because it was his team, assembled by him and the fact the players were his. The same boring tactics may have been the same but the luck ran out.

12m to assemble a promotion squad from scratch over 2 years ain't bad in my opinion.

Definitely is when it was 10m added to a team that finished 6th in the play-offs and could have got promotion the first season if Malky wasn't so stubborn with the January window. All we needed was for him to get Noone in then and someone to partner Miller and we'd have gone up. Don't mind the wages though, 189% of our revenue going on Championship players and that was only the 12/13 season :ayatollah:

In his first 2 seasons Malky worked magic in my eyes. If you were to have a pop at his spending in the prem that would be one thing but on 12m he got us out the championship.

It's a telling factor, NQAT.

But the main reason we were relegated is because the team as a whole wasn't good enough.

Hard to argue with this article

Pretty laughable to respect their opinions when their looking from the outside and don't really watch our games daily and look at how much we spent, style of play etc.

They barely have any knowledge on the lower clubs.
