Looks like Tonteg was wrong

Mon May 12, 2014 5:08 pm

After his recent ludicrous comment about Cardiff having the spine of the future England team, looks like Roy Hodgson didn't agree with him. Can't actually see many City players named in the squad, and doubt if any (Caulker possibly) remotely even crossed his mind. I know we tend to favour our own players, but I think that little gem takes the biscuit.

I have plans this Friday evening sorry. I have a life and don't spend my time memorising what every poster on a forum has previously said or offer posters to confront me. Do you realise how sad and pathetic you are coming across?

Only remember people who insult me personally, I would not call you a pathetic trolling nerd from the safety of my keyboard, I would however have a go at some of your comments which I think are stupid. I only remember your name as you are the only person who has resorted to personal insults (twice).

So directing a post towards me to single me out, calling my comment ludicrous and saying "that little gem takes the biscuit" aren't personal insults? If you want to dish it out (from the safety of your own keyboard), you have to take it.

Fair enough. Well until you created this thread, I would like to know where I've previously insulted you. You've obviously been waiting a long time for the England squad to be announced so you could do your post to prove that I was wrong?

Liitle quote from something you said to me previously : P*** off, time for you to move off this forum. Remember it because only time anyone has spoken to me like that, and because I know we don't live very far apart. Does'nt really bother me, but I always got to have a go back when someone has a crack at me. I've also seen a lot of your posts about MM which I don't agree with, but think that they are more sensible than saying that we have the backbone of a future England team when if it wasn't for Marshall, this backbone would have conceded around 100 goals this season. I don't disagree with everything you say, in fact, I mostly agree with your team selections and tactics.

obviously the comment was misguided, i suppose you cant fault the optimism though.

Im sure Caulker will go on to get a few England caps, cant see any of the others getting any though.

What post was that? I have no excuse for that if that's what I said to you.

The time I did that post about the future England spine, I think we all thought Caulker would eventually break in. Campbell was scoring regularly in the Championship and I was thinking with an injury free season in the Premiership, Campbell could break back into the England squad, especially as Bothroyd got capped. I have said for a while I believe Jordon Mutch will get capped in the future and I still think he will. Then with David James tipping Moore to be a future England number 1, I'm hoping he will live up to that one day.

I just looked at my post again and it was a post to big up the good, young English players we had in the squad at the time. But with Caulker and Campbell already getting capped, that just leaves Mutch and Moore left for us to have a future spine of England internationals. Moore is 23, which is very young for a goalkeeper and Mutch is only 22, so there's still plenty of time.

Plus when have I ever asked someone for a fight on an internet forum? I may disagree with peoples views, they may disagree with mine but this is as sad as it gets, if you can't see that then thats a reflection on you.

Was'nt an invitation for a fight, was an invitation to speak to my face rather than from behind a keyboard. Can assure you I have no intention of getting into trouble or banned from any pub over something like this.

It was more the acting 14 and basket case which I thought was ironic.
