Defenders?

We all know that it is highly unlikely to see Caulker wearing the Cardiff strip next season but do we need to strengthen in this area with him gone? I think that by keeping all of our other defenders including the return of Brayford, we'd already be well prepared in that aspect of the team. Many of our defenders can also play across all areas of the back four with Kevin McNaughton and Catherine being good examples. Nugent has also come through the ranks and could be useful in the Championship along with the recent debutant of Thomas James.

What do you think then? Do we need to strengthen our defence?

If you ask me, we just need to strengthen midfield and attack and maybe our goalkeeper if Marshall leaves. But otherwise we have got a solid defence IMO.

No defenders needed.

With Guerra coming in then I would say we only need

1 more striker possibly 2 more if Cambell goes ( Rhodes would be my ideal choice but I'd be happy with Grabban)
1 new winger
1 new striker if Marshall Is sold

I think that we have more than enough in other areas for the championship.

This is based on Caulker, Medel, Campbell and Marshall leaving.

Can't really see many more leaving Alough we need to get rid of Jones but can't see anyone wanting him.

CB - assuming Cala stays, then Cala/Hudson/Turner are decent Championship, especially with Connolly/Nugent as further back up.
RB - more in this position than you can shake a stick at, but the last few games Fabio has impressed me so I'd go Fabio, with Kev or Brayford as back up
LB - problem position like many sides, but hopefully less so in the Championship with Taylor solid but a bit slow; Declan John is very young, and gets caught out defensively for me, as well as lacking confidence. Kev can cover here too

The rest I'd let go unless they are DVP squad, including the Frenchman who for me is just too up and down to rely on. He had a decent start then became a bit of a defensive liability.

We will need a new GK.

As for midfield/forwards, depends who's going really - like to keep Noone, Mutch, Whitts - can lose Kimbo I'm sorry, great glimpses but too easily bumped off the ball; Gunnar is Championship, as is Cowie, though I never want to see Gunnar in the 10 role like he seemed to be yesterday. That said we felt a bit more solid yesterday so perhaps it worked?

Strikers - lose Jones, Campbell will go I think, the new Spaniard looks tidy - 2nd striker is one of Mason/Maynard.

I really hope Bellamy is gone - anyone know if his contract is up??

We were boring and predictable when we won the championship after xmas it was 1-0 ...1-1 we were terrible at times
I would like to see the squad freshened up lose some of the players we already have and get some fresh impetus

I would let gunnarsson and cowie and kim leave and Bellamy
