" CAN'T HELP FEELING ANGRY "

Sun May 11, 2014 9:33 pm

The more I think about it the angrier I feel.

So Tan states he will turn £50m into equity which will leave us with £100m of debt.

After pledging to convert all his debt to equity at the time of rebranding our club.

That is like saying 'you are drowning but instead of drowning in 30 foot of water, you will drown in just 3 foot of water but either way you are drowning!'

Carlos, the man is a complete and utter liar! He's full of SHIT :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

It just feels like one very small step forward with him willing to talk to fans and back down from his stubborn view on red but then 10 steps back with the debt to equity and the wait for Premier League football again.

The man is a law to himself. He couldn't give a toss about the fans.

Why would he do it ?

What are our net assets including future parachute payments ?

Why did he ever get involved in this venture ?

Who convinced him there was profit in it for him?

He's doing it so the club can comply if FFP and spend next season, but patiently he wants out.

The man is a liar, he tests to see how far he can push us with a jaw dropping announcement then he dangles a carrot by saying he's willing to compromise, fans accept as they are getting something back but he's already achieved what he's set out to do. The sooner he's gone the better.

Just confirm to me Carl but was not the deal for £100m investment would be turned into equity.

The £100m included training ground, extension, paying off Langston, budget for promotion season PLUS the already £40m he had already invested. That equates to an extra £60m really.

Now when Tan promised this he had about 30% of shares. He now has 90% so how has he paid for that. Would the extra shares come from the payoffs above?

Interesting analogy

There is no rhyme or reason to Tan. He's a loose cannon. Completely used to getting his own way. He's playing games with us. Sure, he wants his money back, but he seems more interested in insulting us. He's just not used to anybody criticising him.

Tan needs to be honest and give his true vision. Yes this is a business but not an ordinary business that will make him money. We are not a hobby also.

I would love to sit with him and talk this through. :thumbright:

as you were told this week.....£140mill and its yours.......i assume that goes for any buyer and includes everything including the debt..........so if he converts..he would still value the club at how much it stands him £140 million........rediclous amounts that none of us can imagine seeing let alone have..........it really is not fan ..stuff....tbh....

But you all told us gypps he was a billionaire, a very successful business man , who would give you a foothold in the lucrative asian market. We were told we should be scared of the new cardiff as you had the potential to be as big as Everton whilst us gypos were lucky to still be in the premier league.

ain't karma a bitch lads.

Why are people still confused about the tan reign, his intentions and "business plan"... It self explanatory isnt it? It is a tale of a rich business man thinking all businesses are the same and if you have enough money to throw at it then you can make it work.... Football doesnt work like that as he has since found out.

Ill break it down.

-Tan (on the advice of TG) initially invested £6m in a 40% stake of a club that was on the verge of the Prem, an excellent return if successful - it wasnt and he ended up with a £6m white elephant on his hands as the true extent of the finances came to light.

- The club was losing money hand over fist (£1m a month). He was faced with a situation, to step back, put a lock on his wallet and kiss goodbye to his £6m (any liquidation would see others paid before him to the point there wouldnt be anything left in the pot) or cover the deficit himself in the form of loans - safe in the knowledge that heavy investment usually gains promotion.

- He wanted Langston sorted ASAP because, as mentioned, the loans he was giving to cover the monthly shortfall were not secured in the sense that if the club folded the money raised would be going to Langston and not him. Hence why he made this a priority... and not out of the goodness of his heart.

- He covered the defecit and spent £12m on playing staff to ensure promotion. He then saw an opportunity commercially to appeal to the asian market to ensure he can offload the club and make some profit.

- He was about £40m out of pocket upon promotion which, given the Prem income of £90m all up, gave him then £50m (no coincidence this was also the budget) to play with to secure the clubs status in which he would then have an option to sell up, float the club (would never be a feasible option imo) or invest minimally and bank profits.

- However this season was a disaster and his desperation to stay up has been evident. His debt, however, will only get to the levels in which the assets cover, which is why it is always around the £100m mark. His loans are secured gambles, if they come off he will be in profit from another year of sky money, if they fail he can pay himself back from selling club assets.

So the exit strategy.... He has two options. Sell everything now and take a bit of a hit, or gamble on promotion and sell everything then and possibly break even after minimal to no investment in the playing staff (a sacrifice season).

He did promise to convert debt to equity as part of his £100 million investment. Unfortunately due to the growing debt and the wasting of a small fortune in last summers transfer window followed by a disastrous season the debt is now so great that all his investment won't fit into the original deal on the rebrand. In the present circumstances with the attitude of the fans, if you owned the club would you write off all you were owed, sure as he'll I wouldn't.

Re: " CAN'T HELP FEELING ANGRY "

The reason people 'accepted' the rebrand was to be debt free. Tan has lied to us all and some are still backing him? He's a joke!
TAN OUT!!!

people accepted the rebrand because the choice was 100 milll on one hand...broke and maybe no club on the other..
read Carls account...one of the worse days.........i dont believe 12 men should have been hand picked like that to make that choice........but do believe each of the 12 love the club and at the time said or voted for what they believed and was in the best interests of our club.
i disagree often with many of them on here..........but not about what they believed that day after having it spelt out.......
debt free and playing in blue were secondary to actually having a club ........

And he saved the club !
People have blinkers on when it comes to the owner.
He was so right when it came to Malky and Moody .
