He is obviously going to leave but when do we sell him?
Get the deal done early so we can start to plan or wait until after the World Cup.
Could have a blinder in Brazil and get a few more clubs involved in the bidding or he could score two own goals, get sent off and we have to settle for less cash.

He has already gone with him not being in the squad today.

I think we should sell him now, just to make sure we have decent funds for the beginning of the window.

Sell during the World Cup, he is going to be class, spend the money anyway, we know we will get the money soon after, his value will rise......

Cash in now so we can look in the market ASAP or see if he can do well in the WC so the value could possibly go up.

i wouldnt say that, we have two players going to the world cup.... no point playing them in a meaningless game really.

He has a relegation release clause in his contract so he could have a fantastic world cup but it wouldn't matter seen as we'd have a price already set for him when we go down.

what if he got injured during the world cup..? I'd say sell him now and get more time to mold the team for next season

That is what a relegation clause is... the club sets an amount which other clubs have to pay when/if they are relegated.
