What was all that about?

Borley has said that the UEFA officials were at the ground today to see how our security faired. There were a few "on the pitch" chants so they brought in some extra measures.

Probab.y overkill but served to show the officials that were were ready.

Lucky enough to do all 38 games this season and at no away ground where we treated like what faced us in front of the canton at the final whistle. Was there going to be a riot, NO! South wales police and stadium management hold your heads in shame. Totally over the top, and at what cost to the club. Made me feel like a criminal in our own ground, if that's the premiership then good riddance. Rant over

I hope they never found the tunnels Tom,Dick & Harry... All we were missing were the search lights and German accents shouting "schnell"

The only reason anyone chanted "We're going on the pitch" was because there was 40 police blocking the canton from the pitch anyway.

No one in their right mind would have actually done it.

It was well over the top. Left a bad taste in my mouth that did. It was like being in a police state.

Stop over reacting you pussies!

At the Palace in Mountain Ash we used to have Police dogs on the edge of the dance floor in the seventies!

Didn't spoil my night!

Was ridiculously over the top. Says something when at all the aways I've been to, the police have been nowhere near at this level, but at home this is how we're treated.

Was massively over the top to try and stop fans getting on the pitch.

Also if a fan tried to get on the pitch is it really a fair punishment to have a dog chewing on your backside. Ridiculous, but to be fair just shows how aware the "club" are of how pissed off the fanbase are.

Thought it was a bit excessive to be fair. A line of stewards then police and then dogs, get passed them you ought to be in the Olympics.

there was a threat of trouble, its BECAUSE of the police presence all day and Saturday night that it didnt materialise.......there is history between us and Chelsea, and maybe the dopey police thought if one set of fans got on,the other set my do too.......they have moved on, they are aware these days..

It was ridiculously over the top.. There has been history between City and Palace and especially Stoke. I didn't see any real visible Police presence at those games this year. Why was this any different? They didn't need to be lined up on the pitch like that. No way

Last game of season, usually a pitch invasion and UEFA reps were there.

Didn't someone get stabbed to death outside Ninian Park in the early 80's?? I think it was a Swansea fan as it was Swans against Palace but City fans got involved and stirred it up so no I'm not joking..Perhaps that was a bad example but come on, the Chelsea of 30 years ago and the City of 30 years ago might as well have been in the dinosoaur age. No way was there going to be trouble on Sunday....City is a family club now, thank goodness, as are mega rich Chelsea, such a heavy police presence wasn't needed.

It's not even their ground. It's a crappy egg ground with a playing surface suitable for their low standard

it wasnt anything like 30 years ago............a palace fan stabs a swansea fan, cowardly i might add..and that had absolutely nothing do do with wat happened in the ground.............please stop talking rubbish
