THE FACK OFF LIST

Sun May 11, 2014 7:46 pm

Caulker
KTC
Taylor
Conolly
Medel
Mutch
Kiss
Gunnarson
Kim
Smith
Jones
Etien
Maynard
Lim
Tan

Rather play the kids with a few senior pros like Whitts, Hudson, Noone and Fabio.

Re: THE FACK OFF LIST

Some of those players can play more than a part next season.

Kim
Gunnarsson
Mutch
Maynard
Connolly
Taylor as a squad player, decent at that level.

Keep forgetting about Brayford.

Same with Mutch though, people criticise Whitts for going missing but nobody likes to bury their head like Mutch

Gunnersson id keep. A fit Maynard will be fine for the championship as well.

Sell Mutch, and hope we get a lot for him, same with Caulker and Medel, Kim im not fussed about, if a foreign team want him for a few million i would sell.

Re: THE FACK OFF LIST

I would keep from that list:

Gunnarson
Kim
Mutch (unless offered 6m or more)
Connolly
Maynard

Just Tan and I'd be more than happy.

If we lose Marshall, Caulker, Taylor, Conolly, Smith, Bellamy, Cowie, Kiss, Velikonja, Campbell, Medel and Mutch then we'd have a decent albeit small squad

Moore
Brayford Hudson Cala Fabio
Dæhli Gunnarson Whitts Noone
Mason Maynard

Lewis, McNaughton, Turner, Eikrem, Kim, Berget, Guerra.

With Jones, Healy, Nugent, Ralls, Harris, Thomas and Wharton supplementing the squad

That's a loss of 12 players, a substantial amount of wages and probably £18-22mil in transfers. So a good neucleus in my opinion. Go get Jordan Rhodes!

You think we gonna sign Guerra and use him as a sub to Maynard and Mason

The guys banged in 15 goals in La Liga this season

I think Medel, Mutch, Marshall, Caulker and Campbell will leave in the summer. Generally agree with that list above though. Right now, if the names I just mentioned left and we took out the names above then we'd still have a decent starting line up without any additions.

GK: Moore
DR: Fabio
DL: John
DC: Turner
DC: Cala
MR: Noone
ML: Whittingham
MC: Cowie
MC: Daehli
MC: Eikrem
FC: Berget

Ok, it's not ideal but considering that is without any additions whatsoever then we are well placed for next season even if we have a complete clear out. It's exciting.

Controversial for me but id add whitts to the list. Lazy and set pieces gone awfull. Cant see what he offers us anymore. Personaly id sell if we could get a couple of mill before its to late

6 assists last season, 4 from set pieces the second height in the league.

I can't see what he offers us

Whitts has looked a lot better since hes come back into the side. Playing in his natural position hes still one of the best championship players out there!

Connolly, Mutch, Gunnarsson and Maynard will all be important next season. I can't believe you've listed them. I would add Bellamy to your list, he will play a maximum of 20 games next season on 30k a week wages with a deteriorating knee. We can offload him and use his wages to bring in a 3 more players on 10k a week.

Mutch can f**k off as far as I am concerned, when the chips were down he went missing. He hardly broke a sweat for the cause in the ast few months. If he thinks hes too good for us and wants to go back to the premiership then all the best, close the door on your way out you bottle job.

Completely disagree on the other 3 being important we have 3 better centre halfs than Conolly (Hudson, Cala, Turner) and 3 better right backs (Fabio, Brayford, Mcnuaghton).

Maynard injury prone and not the same since his injury, also on a hefty wage. If Guerra copmes here as still being predicted then I dont see the point of keeping on Maynard. We will have Guerra, Campbell, Mason, Healy as small strikers. Jones (Back up) and we should be looking to sign Rhodes / Deeney as a bigger stirker. If Campbell is going as now being predicted since I started this thread then maybe keep Maynard.

Gunnarson maybe could leave in as a squad player but I dont see him starting, we need a strong midfielder to compliment Whitts next season and let him pull the strings to the likes of Noone and Daehli.

I could put money down right now that Whitts will be in Championship TOTY next season. I'm not going to, but I could :laughing6:

Mutch has been asked to play deeper the last 2 games so we haven't seen him doing his usual box to box game. He's been asked to sit deeper in Medel's absence. I lost count the number of times Mutch was running himself into the ground when playing as a second striker behind Campbell. Palace away in particular he seemed the only player willing to put a shift in apart from Campbell. There's times Mutch goes anonymous, but I don't think that's because of his lack of effort, it's because he's young and still learning.

Connolly was one of our key players last season and his versatility will be vital to us. I agree with KTC and Taylor going, so I would have John, Fabio, McNaughton and Brayford for our full back options (John, Fabio and McNaughton can play left back or right back), and Hudson, Turner, Cala and Connolly as our centre back options. Very risky going into next season with only 3 proven centre backs in my opinion. I think the games where we need to be solid and hard to beat on a cold Tuesday winter night, Connolly would be very useful at right back too. Fabio and John as full backs for example could be too lightweight for some games, particularly if we are hanging on dealing with a bombardment of long balls.

Maynard I rate highly and I would at least hang on to him and give him a full pre season to see how he is. He looked very good for us before he got injured and he has shown for Wigan how good he can still be in the Championship. He will be even better once he gets a full pre season under his belt and gets that extra yard of sharpness back, so I would definitely keep him for now.

Take off the Mutch rose tinted glasses his "effort" against Palace home was absolutely shocking.

I cant remember the last time he had a decent game, another player who has been massively overhyped by our fans, you in particular.

We are trying to trim the squad to save money, Conolly is an expense we can afford to get rid of, we dont need 3 right backs ffs and going into the season with 3 senior CB's, the young kid whos name escapes me (Not Ben Nugent hes shit), black lad who went on loan to Newport, and SuperKev can also play there if we were down to the bear bones.

Maynard has got 4 in 16 for Wigan hes hardly set the world alight.

I was referring to the Palace away game. Mutch has been our only hope with penetrating the opposition from deep and scoring goals from midfield. Mutch adds an extra dimension to our game.

Connolly is a centre back who can do a job at right back. He will be useful to put on the bench as he can cover more than one position. There will also be games where we might play 3 centre backs. You may be happy to gamble on inexperienced back up like Ben Nugent and Oshilaja, but I'm not.

Maynard has been in and out the Wigan team because it's taken him a little while to get match fit and Rosler chose to play 4-5-1 to keep it tight in their last game, so opted for the taller, stronger Fortune up front. We will see what Maynard can do tonight in the return leg, although they will probably stick to playing 4-5-1, so Fortune will probably start again.

I know you was on about the away game, I am talking about the home game. The chips were down and he was playing hide & seek. I cant remember the last decent game he had for us. Considering hes going to be cpatain of England in the not so distant future you would think he would stand out.

Unless it escaped your notice Tan is the "Fack Off list" which means making cut backs, Conolly IMO is a cut back we can afford to make. Thats the problem with people like you, you want Tan out but still want him to fund another promotion push.

A few senior pros, play the kids, and just be competetive, that will do me.
