Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan says he would consider a combined Barcelona-style red and blue kit but warned pro-blue supporters they must be prepared to compromise.
In a revealing video interview with WalesOnline, Tan said: "After next season, hopefully we can get back to the Premier League and I will spend time with the supporters group and find compromise.
"If we cannot find a compromise then maybe we need to find a way out. If they don't want me then maybe I should go."
Asked if a proposed Barcelona-style red and blue kit could be a possibility, he said: "Maybe that is possible, sure, with compromise. Compromise means give and take.
"I am not unreasonable, I am not thick-headed. But I have certain values..."

What he says there I think is fair but why not say it years ago? This could have all been avoided if it was approached in this manner from the start. The fact the fans have had to push to even get to this stage has left a sour taste in the mouth of many.
I remember not long ago many stating they'd accept a Barcelona or Basel style compromise kit. Now I suspect these same people are blue 100% or nothing.
I think what Tan says is fair and middle ground is needed but I think that needs to happen this upcoming season otherwise during this upcoming season the tide will grow even stronger against him and by the time he wants to compromise it will be too late.
Its only the rebrand that has irked me with Tan.
The badge to me is more insulting. The badge goes out on leaflets, banners, television, its hideous and disgusting. The badge is just a complete insult to our club.

Unbelieveable!
'Don't focus on the blue, focus on supporting the team'.
Well Mr Tan, dont YOU focus on the red, give us back our identity, and we'll focus on supporting the team.
What a hypocrite!

We should be blue then we can focus 100% on supporting the team Tan has it the wrong way around how can we focus with all this going on. Give us the blue kit and badge back then we can focus what A mad man and comprise no thanks mr Tan blue home kit with the right badge all the way.

So Tan thinks that he's got values, does he? Well, so do we. We're Cardiff City, not Crystal Palace. Everything that he can do to insult us, he does.

The only compromise would be a blue home kit and a red away kit!! (only to be worn when the other team is in red!!)

Seriously, I'm starting to despair. I cannot for the life of me understand why he is still refusing to budge. Have some humility, admit that the re-brand hasn't worked and then unite and prepare for next season. For a man who is supposed to be worth £1.5 billion, it shows an astounding lack of judgement.
(blue and red kit compromise-it just sounds ridiculous and so childish-like a kid who refuses to back down and apologise without conditions)

Seems to me he realises he is shafted on the red. Doesn't matter what colour the team play in Cardiff will always be BLUE. So, no matter what else happens supporters just need to stick with the blue. As for a compromise strip? Is he having a laugh? If he wants red, let it be the away colour which will give him almost as many red matches as blue.
