Tan continues to impress me - "Misdirection"

Sun May 11, 2014 9:56 am

Misdirection is a form of deception in which the attention of an audience is focused on one thing in order to distract its attention from another. Often used by magicians to manipulate their audiences.

This is also used in major media controlling governments where exonomic bad news for example is covered by a flooding of celebrity news and popular culture.

Today Tan has told you that the debt to equity will still leave you £100m in debt but he has misdirected the ausience to focus in "maybe I will turn you back to blue one day". The man is very clever and knows his audience because it has worked :o

His skill to hold and manipulate his audience captive is very impressive indeed.

Tan will keep his word this time I feel it in my bluebird heart. Everyone deserves a second chance right?

By the way Tan spoke good of the bluebird. Remember he was explaining how the bluebird taught the dragon to fly higher? See he is not anti blue or anti bluebird

"you can fool all the people some of the time,& some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time".

Tan might be clever, but on this issue, he certainly is not!

That is the clever thing though Rick, he doesnt need ALL of the people on side.

He only needs most of the people, and most will certainly be leaving that interview talking about the red/blue rather than the main point of it all which was hom breaking the news that debt to equity will leave you in £100m of debt still.

"Divide and conquer" - he has caused division by creating these massive divisive issues because when he has to get backing or indeed needs to hide from some bad news - he uses this topic.

Give him another chance. Let's start a "faith in Tan" rally yeah? Let's believe the Malaysian business man. He is successful in business.. That means he can turn Cardiff into top 4 flight when we get promoted. He will build a strong Cardiff empire and it will reign the football top flight with the dragon and bluebird working as a team for 1000 years. Watch and enjoy!

Anyone that comes on this thread , don't let Roath place any negativity about Tan in your head. Roath has the cheek to call Ran a magician, yet he is not the one with "magic" in his name!

Come on bluebirds Roath magic comes to kill steal and destroy Cardiff City . Kill the club, steal our joy and destroy unity within our club with his magic box of lies! Don't fall for it!

The bible says the enemy goes around like a roaring lion looking to kill steal and destroy. It also says the enemy comes disguised as an angel of light. Roath magic is the antichrist of Cardiff City fc

I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SAY THIS BUT:
I agree with you on this one!
We have been given to very different pieces of news and it is difficult to keep focus on the head (he is breaking a promise to convert ALL debt into equity) over the heart (willing to reconsider returning to BLUE).

The thing that crystallises it for me, though, is the time delay on the positive strand. We won't even be able to discuss the BLUE issue till we are back in PL. That could take years, especially if Tan makes cost cuts as described in the papers.

I warned everyone that there would be a further excuse with regard to debt/equity. He has come up with yet another excuse. Apparently, £150m-160m is a LOT of money. No shit Sherlock!! This way, Tan gets the best if both worlds. He is a shareholder, but he still has more of a say being the main creditor.

The offer of a single fan rep. on the board is a token gesture. Who will this "fan" be? Will he/she be selected by the supporters? How much voting power will this fan have?

Tan has said the change to red is prompted by superstition and the fact that red is more marketable in the Far East. So why would this change if we get promotion to the PL? Why can't he change now? Why doesn't it make sense to unite fans and gain popularity? ANSWER: He hasn't promised to return to BLUE. He has said he will reconsider WHEN we are re-promoted. Delaying tactics again.

For me, NOTHING HAS CHANGED. We are still a club in worse debt than before, run by one person, stripped of our identity and facing monumental odds against re-promotion.

Thanks Tan!

Roathy is spot on. This news is a disgrace it was a condition of the rebrand to turn ALL debt to equity now its a third of debt. You can't believe the c**t when hes whistling. Tan out

Not sure this is 'misdirection', more that he had to take the sting out of two issues the fans have been pressurising about recently.

His attempt at some conditional 'might' or 'maybe' token actions on both the colour and the debt to equity haven't fooled many by the reactions I have read.

Don't agree with Roath magic. He is masquerading as an angel of light. He is not the truth or way.

You just have to look at todays "stickies".

The fans have waited 2 years for this debt to equity and a debt free club, he finally tells you it is not happening and because he mentioned the "possible" blue return that is all that is being talked about.

Not a mention of the main earth shattering news what so ever

Genius.

In fairness to Roathie, he's spot on here. Tan has created a possible £140 million debt for CCFC on the promise that this would be turned to equity.

Would you all have gone along with the lunatic knowing at the start that all the money he was splashing out would not be converted?

Ps - if and when he compromises on the shirt colour I reckon it'll be blue and red hoops.

But surely even you can see whatever agenda - he's bang on the money with this one? In fairness the red to blue potential didn't even strike a chord with me, it was the fact he now ISN'T converting the debt to equity. He lied.

And as for the red back to blue thing IF we get back in the Premiership that's bollocks too. What's him stopping doing it now if he really was considering it? Why wait another year? (I personally wasn't enamoured with the colour change but it meant if the club stayed out of liquidation then I was all for it. But again it's just talk.)

I'm starting to get dissolusioned with him now and in fairness I've given Tan more of a chance than most I know.
