' Juan cala appeal upheld '

Sat May 10, 2014 8:46 am

Saturday 10th May 2014.

Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that Juan Cala will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect in relation to his misconduct charge.

The FA charge, which was upheld following a personal hearing this week, was that his behaviour in or around the tunnel area after the end of the match against Sunderland on 27 April 2014 amounted to improper conduct.

The ban rules Juan out of contention for Sunday’s match against Chelsea and Cardiff City’s first two fixtures of the 2014/15 season. Juan has also been fined following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.

At least he showed some passion, more than most did this season.

Agree, one of the few that looked as if he wanted to play for the club and get his foot in, if he stays could be a legend! :ayatollah:

Surely you mean that the red card has been upheld - the appeal has been turned down

Can't see it myself...brushed aside by Suarez and made a couple of dodgy mistakes before that miss-hit back pass against Sunderland. Defensively goes missing as well. Not quite sure why the fans here seem so smitten with him. He did show passion though, can't disagree with that

The appeal was nothing to do with the red card.
