IT WAS FORCED ON US,BUT WOULD I FORGIVE VINCENT TAN? '

I have heard the question asked many times: ‘Would you forgive Tan and support him if he carried out the debt to equity swap and returned us to blue?’

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/foot ... er-7099682 :bluescarf:

Two years ago we were not asked whether we would like the change. Instead it was a very much forced on the fan.

Tomorrow is being dubbed as ‘Blue Sunday’ and I implore every City fan to turn up wearing blue tops, scarves, waving blue flags, holding the Echo’s blue poster, for the last time for this season.

The pro-blue demonstration staged on 19 minutes and 27 seconds at every match since the Liverpool game in March has been stunning.

We are strongly reminding Vincent Tan that we are proud of our heritage and tradition of being Bluebirds

There has never been a commercial reason given for the need to change our kit to red, only that the owner regards it as a lucky colour.

The supporters are sending out a clear and direct message that we want our football club to be blue.....

While the infighting continues, I believe we will struggle to be successful on and off the pitch.

its not the fight for blue that causes the in fighting though..
its how to go about it..
i hate red too..never bought it or the badge..never will
but dont buy into this everything wrong in the world is tans fault so throw him off a cliff malarky..
as time goes by,it seems he is right more often than wrong.......and its our club he owns so to a degree his money is our money..his misfortune ours......and the stupid stories hurt us as much as him..
the sea of blue.......thats us being who we are.......a clear show that identity means something, and that he got that one wrong..........
wanker..c**t..out..????.....gives him nowhere to go other than dig a deeper hole.........my view.
oh..and debt to equity.....you were quoted 140 mill by lim.......thats what he would accept whether it debt or equity........

Topic been changed again

This topic is about our Identity  :bluescarf:

I sang dont Sack Malky and thats what the fans believed at the time.

Yes more doubt has been put in to the fans minds and yes it looks bad on Malky, but no hard evidence has been put out on him and Malky has not been charged, the League have not got involved and Malky is now Free to manage who ever he wants with no investigation in to him.

Now Tan can make us Debt Free as promised 2 years ago and as yet Tan has not kept to his word, hard facts there

it would not have included all the debt mounted up since..which is..the bulk ..i think.....
your right Malky hasnt been charged....but it really doesnt look great.........and if tan had made that grovelling arse licking statement?

As regards the debt to equity swap Carl we are talking about a promise made by VT and as all the obstacles or excuses he has put in place have been settled there is now no reason why this cannot be done. If he doesn't then,in my opinion, he will NEVER be forgiven by the fans.

In respect of our traditional colours, and two years after the change, the man only needs to look around the stadium on match day to realise that he has failed to sell this re-brand to the fans. On that basis he should return the club to it's traditional colours as it's clearly the wish of his customers.

There is nothing to show Tan should offer an apology to us the fans. There is nothing to forgive. There is common ground yes but please remember the echo the supporters group and most fans accepted the change, it's documented so why argue about it. Tan can say why should l change debt to equity now that the fans have insulted me and changed their minds. Always two side to every story and we would loose this in any court of law. I want blue as much as the next man and one of the people who launched the blue balloons off level 4, but l will always look at both sides.

To be honest i feel a bit of humility towards Tan. This week has showed he went ahead with the rebrand with support from people arround the club. Indications that he had a point against Malky. The depth to equity is late of promise, but no evidence on that being a lie. No one can deny we gave him a beating, but was it just?

The sea of blue thing is great but we don't seem to have had much tv coverage/news coverage of it. We need to get a lot more publicity especially outside of these shores if we are to put even more pressure on Tan. Anyone got any media contacts to promote this? :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I've always been taught don't bite the hand that feeds you, is it not possible that VT has very strong evidence against Malky and has presented this to his legal beagles hence why Malky has now impulsively dropped his case and left behind the questionable 2mil + owed?

I agree. VT has been vilified on here over rebrand yet older posts have shown Carl, Annis and the trust etc accepting at the time for the good of the club, reluctantly yes.

VT has been true to his word over promises with only debt to equity to be completed.

Yes we don't know the full truth but something was obviously wrong as the only 'fact' is Moody and MM have apologised.

Give the guy a break, stop singing the insulting songs bout him.

Tan out daubed out on our historical gates about sums up some fans mentality.

Paul, once again u know I never accepted the Rebrand end off, u can twist it as much u always like to do

I Detest it and have done from day one and from day one I organised meetings against the rebrand etc and even Craig CCFC will support me on that as he attended one of them.

Its sad Paul that Ive been proven right regarding this rebrand and u you will then twist it to your agenda. Hmm

TG IS FLYING IN "
by Forever Blue » Thu May 10, 2012 6:57 pm

On Sunday, its not all dead in the water at all. VT is not walking away from our Great Club. Carl will update you later.

Just left the meeting where we were all united .

The threats to VT on Facebook groups have been disgusting and have hurt Tan.

Our Bluebird had been agreed to stay on the badge last night.

Edited.

The Langston deal(paid off) is virtually all but signed.

Our Board will meet TG this Monday to plan for next season and beyond.

We are all entitled to our opinions.

Annis can you explain what your comments above in your post meant? Maybe im misreading them if so i apologise but it appears from them that VT staying with the rebrand was reluctantly perhaps accepted as suggested by the we are all united? Again the compromise on the Bluebird suggests an acceptance?

By point is read your post then to now involved in marches etc suggests you have changed in your approach to rebrand and not VT??

Hmmmm

Paul, I will explain my post as in that meeting we were all united against the the vile threats and Racism on FB etc.

We were told that our club was dead if we did not accept the Rebrand, but also told our Bluebird would stay prominent on the badge and that our badge might bE able to stay the same.

And that there would be further meetings on the rebrand.

I have admitted that in that room I spoke out against it and I then was looked upon by overs that I had helped kill our club, I then for a few minutes said I would have no other choice then. I walked out of the room with my head fuming, Carl and I refused to spk to the media, while others spoke to them.

As the minutes/hours went past I realised thy had totally blackmailed us and threatened us. I then from the following day started meetings including 5 with our club in which I told them " I would rather have relegation than your despicable Rebrand ".

You had to be in that room to understand Paul, u had fellow friends/fans threatening others and blaming each other, it was one of the worst days of my life following City.

As the days went on, I said f**k it and the threats and I began campaigns to fight back.

TG had always promised to our faces we would stay BLUE and also the badge would remain.

Paul, there u got the whole story, but as u have always had it in for me you can now try and twist it again, but those are the pure facts.

Paul,
Because we were all asked by the Club and Police as suppose organisers/leaders to calm things down, so I posted from Carls ph in the car outside the stadium, to bring a bit of calm.

Great isnt it, I have made 10,000 post against the rebrand, argued from day one on FB, in the streets etc and Paul hunts me down and gets the truth but still tries to keep it going, please find any real support for the rebrand from me on FB on here etc

I accept you have posted numerous times and have no doubt that you have always been anti rebrand. My point is that during that mad period where VT threatened to walk you were not as vocal on here as you are since.

I do feel VT is unfairly vilified as he has carried out all he said he would do as result of rebrand so in that respect we knew what we were getting. I do not know one city fan who wouldn't prefer VT AND Blue but two years ago, as fans, the vast majority took the rebrand for the good of the club.

This year we have seen the MM and Moody mess but perhaps this wasn't VT's fault after all yet he had all the abuse and MM and Moody the support. Only two apologies i've seen and neither was VT.

Two years ago as a club we accepted Tan and his rebrand. We have decided now it was wrong but have gone about changing by confrontation and abuse with very little respect.

I've known you for over 25 years and would never doubt your love for the club. The wear blue is fair and shows a fans view but even you must admit, with all your years watching City must admit this year, as fans, we have been more a protest group than getting behind the team and making the ground a fortress??

When you say since the rebrand, from August/Sept/Oct 2012 when the season began in the Championship, I wore BLUE at every game, sang BLUE songs with Nukes and Dibs when everyone around us looked at us like Aliens. By Nov 2012 our numbers from about 10 grew to about 400 then just got bigger and bigger.

I arranged meetings in June and July 2012 and our fans got insulted and threatened, most then were to scared to spk out, our numbers got less, but by Nov 2012 we got stronger and stronger as we never went away  :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Let's get back to what matters. Whatever happened with MM doesn't change anything concerning our future in getting our tradition back. The two aren't related. If Tan came out and did what Carl said of course he would be forgiven by the majority of fans. No reason to think otherwise. It would be fantastic for the club going forward and that is now the only thing that counts. This is why we need to keep up the pressure. I think the petition is a good idea and we need to get everyone involved in it. On the Sunderland Forum well over a 100 Sunderland fans have signed it and we have even had Palace and Stoke fans signing it as well !! I think that deserves a mention and a thank you to them.
