I've been put in a position before where I was demanded to apologise to someone for something I hadn't done. I refused to, got more principles than that

why would malky make an apology if he had nothing to apologise for?

If he was convinced that he had done nothing wrong, then surely the court case goes his way and he gets his compo right? (4m wasnt it)

THe very fact hes settled means there must be something that we dont know about in all of this.

Part of a settlement deal maybe..? For example: We will give you so many shares on condition that you would make a public apology.

i mae this point before.... but if you were personally owed 4 million that you were contractually obliged too, and someone only offered you 1 million (for example), and asked you to make a public apology, would you accept that?

Of course you wouldnt.... UNLESS there was something you had done that jeopordised the 4 million pay off... at the end of the day, i can see NO WAY that Malky is an innocent party here

If Norwich or any other club were offering more than what you stand to win then of course you would seriously think about it

how much do you think Norwich would be willing to pay him exactly?

even if it was 1m a year its still doesnt compare to what he was rightfully owed (providing he did nothing wrong)

True. Malky and the likes, probably could retire now and never have to worry about money again, so if I was in his position with his bank balance, then I'd never apoligise for fukall unless I was absolutely banged to rights and by not groveling, it could give me a bad rep and stop me from doing something I love doing, or ruin me financially, but I certainly wouldn't apologise just to add another digit to my already bulging bank balance

Malky knows that the longer he's out of football his stock will drop and he needs to get back into football asap if he wants to continue his career in football management. Potentially its a longer term view point than a short term gain and I can imagine his agent is in his ear to get back into football asap

do you know the wording in the original agreements then..? There are many average jobs out there which have clauses in the original contracts which stop you going to competitors for a period of time if you ever left the company.

wrong again, you see alot of it in sales for example. Companies are very worried that anyone who leave their company would take their customers forexample so when they sign up there would always be a clause in it that would can't work for a competitor for a period of time after you leave the company. Normally its 6-12 months afterwards.

So if I'm a top salesman for a company an I'm on 100k a year an get given the boot I have to go be a bin man for a year through no fault of my own.

If its in your original contract then 'yes' however there are other jobs they could take up.

There has been many cases where people have lost cases where former employers have taken them to court for working with a competitor straight after leaving their company.
