As you can see from this table, the amount each club earned last season was huge. This doesn't include other payments for promotion or TV rights for cup games etc.

Although we now know our fate, we can at least reflect on the amount of cash it generated AND how best to deploy it.

Before anyone says Tan will take it, he can't!

It is also worth noting that if we had 30k fans there for all home league games, that would generate about £20,000,000 per annum, whereas being in the PL is a guaranteed windfall plus incentives if we finish further up the table.

It's nog about filling your stadium or bickering with other clubs about who has the biggest fan base. It's about money.

We haven't finished bottom yet, but yes, we've had some nice pocket money!

I'm not sure how much the Championship pays (obviously less) but hopefully, it will be for just a year. Fingers crossed.

Barely enough to cover the wages.

You are looking at about £50m this year in wages alone. After buying Gary Medel on top - there isnt much change. Thats without the rest of the players, the expansion, contract settlements and the training ground.
