B Teams.....

Thu May 08, 2014 1:44 pm

What's everyones thoughts on new 'League 3'?
10 B teams and 10 Conference teams
They can't climb higher than League 1 but can be relegated. No cups for them either

Awful idea, imagine if the top 6 sides in League 3 are all PL B teams so the teams that finish 7th and 8th are promoted, horrific idea

At least if fans want to visit Cambridge, Morecambe and all those other shit holes again they can support CCFC B team :thumbright:

Apparently Championship sides can as well if they apply, doesn't come into fruition till 2020 at least I think. Stoke are all for it though fgs, imagine a Stoke B side away at Northampton, horrific

They can't enter cups or anything, it's pointless. Leave it as it is

they can get promoted just not to the championship, it's a ridiculous idea though

Terrible idea

Why not set up a competitive B team league instead of the shit that we have now.

Playing non league teams is hardly going to make better players out of people is it.

Totally against it. It will give the Conference teams yet another division to climb and these Conference/grass roots clubs are struggling enough financially as it is. B teams are what reserve leagues are for. I love the lower league terracing grounds too so putting another obstacle in the way of these clubs will reduce the risk of us having the opportunity to play a team like Scunthorpe in the Championship again.

Surely it would be better to set up a well funded side competition?? Give clubs some decent prize money, get some sponsorship. Play the matches at times people may actually come and watch the games. During working hours on a week day is never going to get a crowd. A curtain raiser for a league game or a sunday afternoon may actually get people in. possibly have a couple of leagues or even regional leagues with winners going on to a national play off.

The lower leagues are great, Please don't infest them with more over hyped Premier shit.

Despicable idea, All just for more England players. f**k sake, If they are good enough they will play higher league.

put more effort in to grassroot > pro football and stop letting the big boys of the PL mug off young talent.
