in hindsight, anyone reckon ole had signed some of the players he did with an eye on the championship. i dont particularly want Kenwyne Jones to stay, but the big physical strikers tend to do well particularly vs championship side aside from the playoffs. also berget, eikrim, daehli have a decent amount of pedigree, which after a full summer could come in useful next year. Berget seemed relatively promising, and Eikrim has a decent range of passes. they havent been up to much, but whether youre bitter or level headed, you cannot dispute the fact that the gulf in class between champ and premiership is huge (as shown by our championship squad this season). im sure ole wouldve whole heartidly believed he would have kept us up, but it seems that given that ole knows these players very well, and for a long time, that he could've had a plan in place in advance for a squad in championship football.
