WE WILL STORM THE CHAMIOPSHIP IF??

Sun May 04, 2014 3:07 pm

We get out of the rut we are in! In my humble opinion we have most of the players at the club needed to bounce straight back.
Firstly lets look at the players that maybe on the way out
Marshall - may go but this is a player who have been with us for 5 years and I think will be content to stay with us, if he does go we should have a good replacement in Joe Lewis and/or be able to buy a replacement.
Caulker - likely to be off but we have Hudson to come back in and at Championship level one of the best CHs about.
Medel - will go , not sure whether he will be totally missed?
McNauts - unfortunately the sell-by date is up (will not be missed)
French Kev - not up to the task needs to be off loaded.
Tommy Smith - to be off loaded not to be missed.
Don Cowie - ok for championship but maybe off loaded
Gunnerson - ok for championship but maybe off loaded
Bellemy - this was his last season
Kenwyn Jones - could be off loaded but the only target man on staff

Those coming back off loan, on this maybe the most interesting bit
Maynard - could be a real threat at championship
Mason - given a chance could realy be a threat
Brayford - could be the real deal at rightback
Ralls - would have benefited from a full season in the championship

Those back from injury
Noone - will ripe it apart
Hudson - we can rebuild our defence around him

OK lets say we bring in a main striker, a left back and a an extra centre half

if you look at the squad around the following
GoalKeepers: Marshall, Lewis

Defence:
Brayford, Fabio, John, Hudson, Turner, Connelly, Taylor, Another CH & FB

Midfield:
Whittingham, Mutch, Noone, Dahli, Ekrim, Ginnerson, Cowie, Ralls

Strikers:
Campbell, Maynard, Mason, Jones? Another

That I put it to you is a squad that if they have the right head on could be there or thereabouts!!!!!!

WE CAN BOUNCE STRAIGHT BACK UP

I am very confident of going back up and when I see that line up I am even more confident.

Id like to think we can keep the vast majority of our side. However Caulker, Medel and Campbell would net us close to £15m and we still have that Spanish striker to come - plus whatever loan deals OGS can secure (I would go for Man Utd loanee Nicky Powell - who is at Wigan at moment!)

Im excited

No the championship is 1 of the toughest leagues to get out of I think we will finish around mid table personally

Assuming Marshall, Caulker and Medel go

GK Lewis, Moore probably need to replace Marshall
DR Brayford, McNaughton and Fabio back up. Get rid of KTC
DL Fabio, Taylor, John
DC Hudson, Cala, Turner, Connolly, Nugent
DM Gunnarson, Whitts, Cowie, Eikrem, Kiss
AM Noone, Kim, daehli, Harris, Ralls
ST Campbell, Mason, Jones, Maynard, Berget, Velikonja

Smith and Bellamy free agents to leave.

Far better squad than the one Malky started the season with in our promotion season.

If we could replace Marshall and potentially swap Jones for a better option any capable manager should be able to take us back up. A bit of extra quality at DM and AM should make it a certainty unless Solskjaer really is as clueless as he seems.

Not that tough, we have a better platform that we ever have before, I predict a top four hopefully top two, but let's see who's in and who's out before we can really judge......

We will storm it next year if Ole is up to scratch. If he isn't then mid table beckons.
