Can that ringpiece tan legally force the players to fulfill their entire contract? Im aware the big dollar will come in for medel marsh and caulks, but if he wanted to throw a spanner in thr works could he do that?

If they have a relegation clause in their contract and the release fee is matched then we have to accept and it is down to the player if he leaves or not .

If there is no such clause we could make them stay for the duration of the contract if we wanted to

No but it does , clubs do let players rot in the reserves quite often .
But in all fairness if a player wants to go they should go , no point keeping unhappy players around the squad .

it does happen...........otherwise youd be having silly offers for players..the player signed the contract so is obligated for its duration just as the club are if he turns out to be shit or injury prone.........
