No. In this country we are well aware that the animal is stunned and dispatched humanely.

I would most certainly feel terrible eating a halal meal knowing the needless suffering that animal went through, as would many others which is why lots dont eat veal or foie gras etc

Stunning an animal to render it unconscious before killing it is as humane as could be wished for. Killing is never going to be "humane" however you can limit the animals suffering as much as possible.

It takes around 5 seconds for a sheep to die from having its throat slit about 4 times longer for cattle. The bolt very often doesnt work first time either......

Yes, the relaxation of being pulled out of the farm and in to the slaughterhouse could be ruined in the way animals are put to death. Btw, they are drained of blood either way

One is illegal for a reason, it is unnecessarily cruel and causes suffering to the animal as it bleeds to death, gasping for air after feeling its throat get sliced open.

The other makes the animal totally unaware of the killing as it is unconscious.
