the home performance against Hull watching the goals going in and the supporters leaving in droves .... this was the first time I thought the team rolled over and didnt have the fight to remain at football's top table.
CCFC never take the easy way but don't want it any other way

Opening day against West ham
Sat May 03, 2014 9:05 pm
Agree, opening defeat to west ham you could see our players were no where near good enough for this level. This team would of even struggled in this yrs championship. If we finished on 87 points again we would of barely made 3rd

Palace at home!
At least we beat Man City

A few moments come to mind:
End of the August transfer window. For me you could see we didn't have enough quality going forward. As a newly promoted side you need to have goals in your team as it is rare that you will keep many clean sheets.
Villa away was very disappointing and given the poor performance and lack of invention going forwad against a Villa side that was on a bad run then - you could see we didn't have enough in the team.
Sunderland home - no explanation needed
Hull home - again, no explanation

Stoke and Palace away in December for me was the beginning of the end.

So many I know say that is when Malky should have gone.

30 mins in at home to Southampton was the beginning of the end. That was it, peaked a few weeks earlier !!

Selhurst Park, Southampton home, Sunderland home. But I honestly think Palace away was when I was sure we were doomed, something serious lacked in the characters of our players that day convinced me.

Sunderland at home - miserable and inevitable!
Doesn't make me happy saying it but we have even poor since West Vrom home.

There is a huge difference between bad days (swansea away, sunderland home, palace away) and writing on the wall jobs. I only truely lost hope last sunday. Hull home was the first time i genuinely thought we were in big trouble. Palace home i thoughtbwe were dead. Soton away had me believing in miracles. Up until last weekend we had a decent chance, which makes the 7-0 aggregate scoreline a complete insult to the poor sods who made those mammouth journeys.....

We were relegated once we lost each other. We lost Malky, then we seemed to split up. It then all became an argument about our identity and colours. Shouldn't have happened, should've been a great year but it hasn't turned out the way we all wanted. Now, we are down but we aren't out. I've seen us with just 2k at the old Ninian in the 4th division, as have much of you, so we all know CCFC will be here no matter what. I'm not sure how OGS will cope in Championship, but will be interesting. I think we have a good future, as long as Moody/Sunderland issues aren't taken too far. We just weren't good enough this year, and losing Malky changed the view on how the club should go, but we need to remember that we are the lifeblood of the club.

Just got back from Newcastle. I said to the STs around me back in Feb that one conversation we may be having in May is that it was the 3 games over Christmas when were in a strong position to take points from that will cost us dearly. At this present moment, not even a soapy tit-wank from Jo Joyner would cheer me up.

Cardiff was relegated today, after losing to Newcastle plus Villa beating Hull.
Sat May 03, 2014 11:43 pm
From the start.
"No room for sentiment" said lord Malky leading up to the campaign.
Yet McNuggets,Smith,Lappin etc etc..
We had some highs, but survival was always a big ask.
As DJ would say "we dust ourselves down and go again"

More important that Sunderland beat United, surely?

No. Even if Sunderland lost today, they would still av 2 winable homematches left to get them their points. Our chance was Villa losing to Hull. They have a tough last game, and we were in reach.

when the Jacks beat us 3-0 and we walked away not caring a fig ,players ,fans ,board deep down we knew we were not good enough for that league after that .
since then the whole club has been dead.

When Tan decided Malky was far more popular than he was!

This.
The 3-0 Swansea and your season collapsed.
The reaction in here was palpable

Same for me I think most fans expected a return of 4 points from them games and stoke were so poor just the slightest bit of ambition would have got the extra points.
The palace game for me will be one of tans biggest regrets as he could have replaced Malky that day and not met with an awful lot of resistance from the fans as most people going back to the coaches were calling for his head.
A new manager would have had a whole month to assess the playing staff he had and then use the extra time to chase the players needed to keep us up.
Sun May 04, 2014 7:32 am
For me when we didn't sign a striker. We had no one who could score in the Championship. For the formation Malky played you needed a striker who could hold the ball up and bring the wide man and number ten into the game. People underestimated how good Helguson was at this. Not a coincidence our form dipped at the end of last year when he was shattered and out the team. We needed a similar player but of better quality. We got Cornelius for f**k sake. Odemwinhie was then panick bought to do the job. If Odemwingie was bought to compete with Campbell and a player similar to say Andy Carroll or Peter Crouch we'd have had enough to stay up.
This along is what started all the bullshit that followed.

Against Newcastle at home we were f*cking shocking. The Toon were no good either but we gifted them the goals!
Sun May 04, 2014 8:00 am
My head says April 5th but if I'm honest it was February.
The amateur statistician in me knew that after the home defeat against Palace our chance of survival dropped below 50%. At that point I declared us down in a thread on here.
However if I'm honest we have never had the flair to compete. We also never had the fight of a WBA or Sunderland. Without one or the other we were doomed.
February was when, if I'm honest, we were going down. Malky would have faired no better in January against the likes of Arsenal, Man City and Man U but the capitulation in February against Swansea and an awful home loss against Hull was the end.

Not today, no. Yes, The Swansea God Of Cock making the victory over Cardiff as the downfall, at a CC message board is raising your opinion and not looking for bites to an argument. You surround yourself with stupid people so you can gloat dont you?

That was your psychopath clock ticking in at 5 minutes sharp mate, looking for the high
