can't see it, he'll be one of the first to go!

Caulker says

"I am ready for the battle of the Championship, I signed a four year deal and will be here next season"

If he is here it'd be huge but it's largely lip service.

I'd be stunned if he was here come the start of next season...

All of them will say that at the moment, but that wont happen we need to move a few on

Re: Caulker says he's staying

he'll be gone as soon as a prem club comes in for him!

He will have no choice if big money came in. The money from Medel and caulker will see us through nxt season. But if he stays I will be more than happy. Can we manage with the big wage players tho, could cripple us.

Hope he goes. SUPER MARK HUDSON :love10:

Great defender. Don't rate him as captain tho.

Scored some good goals this season. Happy if he stays , but won't be too gutted if he went.

Prefer huds as captain.

Money for Medel? £1-2m if we're lucky.

Just making the right sounds to keep people happy. Will be gone come summertime. Good defender but always needed someone a lot more experienced along side him

Depends if he has a good World Cup

Personally I hope he does go, he's not a Bad player but he certainly ain't the player that some think he is. He loses his man way too often and easily. Look back how many goals we have conceded this season where Caulker hasn't been tight enough to his man. I've said it since for months. Cash in on him!!!!

Don't see the point in him coming out and saying this, just stay quiet.

That way if he does go us supporters won't be a little bitter about it.

bellamy off the wage bill tommy smith off kenwyne jones off...

if caulker stays it will be fantastic hes bound to go hes a good defender talented.

but he hasnt stood out enough to warrant a big club place. likewise zaha doesnt have the committment to become great

He'll say keep me on my current wages and ill stay

Re: ' Steven Caulker says he's staying '

Would like him to stay because he's a very good defender, but his massive wage would be a drain on our resources in the Championship, so it's best he goes, plus we should get a good fee for him.

Really overrated. Just another example of an overrated English player. Sell him for whatever we can get. His marking is shocking, at fault for 2 goals again today.

This

Hardly likely to turn around and say I have a relegation escape clause in my contract and my agent will be invoking it a week Monday

If we could hang on to Caulker/Marshy/Noone/Mutch in the championship I'd be greatly surprised. I'd be surprised if Fraze stayed to be honest. Daehli has had some interest from big clubs! We'll be spending the summer completely restructuring IMO

Great defender

At fault again for the first 2 goals yesterday.

If we get offered anywhere near them 8m we paid we should snatch their hands off

Re: ' Steven Caulker says he's staying '

Lets be honest here, only loyalty in football are the supporters, if a big offer comes in for him and it's good for both the player and the club he'll be gone. He couldn't say anything else really.

Its the game ....

Tan will come out and say we are not selling anyone and we are going straight back up.....this will stop the fire sell mentality and we should only get sensible offers for him, which we will dutifully accept.

Mutch may be an issue, I think he has done enough to interest premier clubs, he is young and English. The way he has played this last moth told me he is playing for next years contract elsewhere, the problem will be if the offers do not match our expectation and we have an unhappy player next season.

Nooney will still be with us, is he really any better than Burkey ?? I think he just enjoys the buzz of being a pro footballer and quite likes it here. If he stays I expect no sulk.

i just dont see in Mutch what some see........good enough to be in our team only because its so poor........

Agreed. Hes ok but certainly not destined international greatness and a better player than Carrick or Barkley which has all been claimed this season.

If you believe he will stick around then you will believe anything. He will move on.

He should of kept quiet and moved on, simple.
