Home form Malky v OGS

Sat May 03, 2014 4:10 pm

Well everyone says you stay up on your home form so lets have a look at the teams and results each manager had!

Malky- Man city - 3 points
Everton- 1 point
Spurs- 0 points
Swansea- 3 points
West Brom- 3 points
Newcastle-0 points
Man utd- 1 point
Southampton- 0 points

OGS- West ham- 0 points
Norwich - 3 points
Fulham- 3 points
Liverpool - 0 points
Crystal palace- 0 points
Hull - 0 points
stoke- 1 point

Now to me the sides we played at home the first half of the season where very difficult however still got a bigger points tally than the home form under OGS against the sides around us.IF malky had the chance I really dont think we would have lost to Hull, palace, west ham at home! Malky had us organised and hard to beat especially at home! forward 6 months and we're shipping goals left right and centre!

Im confident Malky would have kept us up! I'm sure he'll easily prove hes premier league standard when he gets his next job! Its a shame that a small percentage of our fans got on his back for being "to defensive" In the first year of the premier league you have to be defensive otherwise you'll get hammered every week as OGS is now finding!

Good post. We've shipped so many goals under Ole against teams we should be beating. Under Malky only Chelsea, Southampton, Arsenal and Liverpool scored 3 or more goals against us.

You may not have liked the style of his play but dont call Malky 'fickle' when he was getting results.
Same for Ole, a manager brought in to a team with defensive players when he has an attacking style was never going to be easy so give him time to build his own team before you label him 'fickle' as well.
