What they have done is extremely clever and I don't get why people are getting upset over it. They're doing more of a job exposing racism in football than Fifa are.

That is the only part they mention they would do it for the next banana to be thrown at them. The entire article they make it out as if they paid someone to do it.

It's been planned for a while, that if a banana was thrown at a player then this reaction would be the best in the fight against racism. Alves an Neymar were chosen as they are the most likely to be subject to racist abuse, this was proved right, but no one was paid or anything like that just a viral campaign against racism.

The person who threw the banana has been arrested so no they didn't pay him. What they have done is come up with viral marketing to counter racism.
