Do reds hate Malky because...

Wed Apr 30, 2014 2:26 pm

He stood up to Tan? The vitriol and vile abuse the man is receiving on here daily is beyond. The abuse goes way beyond the usual abue a supposedly failed manager would get (Malky is the best manager we have ever had). I honestly believe that the reds hate him because he threatened to tear down their red vision and Tans empire here. Malky never mixed his words and some fans saw that as a threat.

It would certainly go someway into explaining how people could be so horrible to a man they have never met.

Stood up to tan    at shit is priceless, squandering the mans money, saying the rebrand helped the club and fans shouldn't complain :laughing6: :laughing6:

I honestly cant understand the abuse from any City fan against Malky, the man did everything right other than make one mistake in signing Cornelius, which none of us know the real full details on this yet.
Havent many managers over years including Ferguson made mistakes.

Malky still earned us up to £160 mill in promotion money, sacking Malky has proved a massive mistake, we are now virtually a Championship club.

Malky was given a budget every season for 3 seasons and delivered the first 2 seasons and I believe given the chance would of delivered again, what more can you ask from a manager if he delivers the success on the pitch he was asked to get.

Before Malky left Tan sent his PR men out to ridicule Malky.

I cant wait for this court case, when will Malky walk away with his head held up high and show who really is the liar  :bluescarf:

It is pathetic how defensive they have gotten after the Sunderland game.

We are all getting relegated, not just the people that prefer solksjaer.

I don't get all this crap that it's only the supposed so called reds who hate Malky everyone I know who thought it was time Malky left are blue and that doesent mean they hated him . The abuse Dave Jones received was ten times worse than Malky got and no one seemed to mind that . IMO the OP is trying to divide fans even more

Re: Do reds hate Malky because...

Wed Apr 30, 2014 2:55 pm

What I hate about Malky is the constant nagging about him every day. I hate that he never owed up to any mistakes and that he cowardly only spoke up against Tan after he left, only to divide the fans even more. In fact, if you believe he build the wrong squad and took the club in the wrong direction you are labeled red. Ironically the most common defence for Malky is that we where never below the relegation zone and he got us up to the premier league. Pretty much sums up the level on the discussion..

Annis you are spot on but our views seem to go against the grain. It's a shame that we can't respect a former manager that led us to our highest division in 54 years and would have kept us up this season no doubt.

He spent over £100 million in two seasons on transfers and wages. A lot of managers would be rubbing their hands with glee over such a budget given to them.

It wasn't just one mistake with Cornelius, he overpaid on pretty much every player we bought. And if we go down I doubt we will make money on any of those players.

He was a good manager no doubt and finally got us over the hurdle and into the premier leauge, I will always respect him for that. However he didn't prepare properly and it cost us this season. Even if he was still in charge I doubt we would have stayed up we didn't have the squad or the style of football to do it but that's an argument done to death.

What's laughable is fans believing he stood up to Tan and was martyr to our cause. The man told fans to accept the rebrand as it was for the greater good, he didn't care about our traditions then and he doesn't know except to make himself look good.

Re: Do reds hate Malky because...

I'm not anti Malky but to say one mistake is an absolute joke. He spent 8 million on a crop of shite and put him on 45k per week. Now I am sorry but to compare this to mistakes Ferguson made is not even comparable. A promoted club should not be spending 8 million on an unproven player, who is signed for the future when they don't have a player within the squad who can score over 10 goals even in the Champoonship. A top striker should have been priority after promotion.

Before that he signed Velikonja (people try and say Tan did but Malky has already stated he was chasing him at Watford). He signed Brayford and never played him. His tactics to just defend games and hope that we would score from a set piece was so easy to read and play against. The longer the season went on the more clubs sussed us and the less points we picked up.

He even signed mediocre players like T.Smith and put them on massive wages to never use them after promotion. In addition to this, he got into a public slandering spree with Vincent Tan and manipulated his position to turn fans against Tan and on his side.

Nobody knows the truth of the whole situation but Malky made a host of mistakes not just one. He should have been more professional. I will always be thankful for him getting us promoted but I have a feeling Tan will be the one coming out of this court case with his head held high and not Malky. If you look at our form as the season went on it suggests to me Malky would not have kept us up and personally I can't blame Tan for not wanting to back Malky after he spunked millions of pounds.

Annis and his double standards yet again he knows full well Malky supported the rebrand when things were hunky dorey between him and Tan.

His red and black f*cking ties spoke volumes.

Then when he and Tan fell out he started wearing a blue tie.

And the monkeys lapped it up.

the one mistake was not AC..it was being of the opinion that you can play at this level with effort counting for more than ability............our squad is very poor, needed strengthening across the board with a proven scorer top of the priority list.......anyone that watched us last year knew this........not just our fans either, opponents never said we played well..ever.. the only person that thought that squad was ok was MM.......maybe his one mistake was missing his spec savers appointment......

Accept the fact he hasn't been able to organise the team in the 5 months he has been here.

Where as Pulis with a worse squad, with total shit players like Chamakh, gabbidon, o'keefe and has made solksjaer like like a under 6s coach.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/tea ... tal-palace

Have a look at that squad. It is championship at best.

Yet he missed the most fundamental piece in the tactics he played, a striker who can hold up ball and and a midfield with pace.

I haven't enjoyed what Ole has had to show. however, he inherited an awful team. Absolutely awful. We have so many weaknesses and there is a lot of hard work to be done for next season. I think we will see a lot of players coming and going - as long as someone will take our weaker players on ridiculous wages.
