' Cardiff City get an apology '

Cardiff City FC: an apology
London Standard.

STANDARD SPORT
Tuesday 29th April 2014

An article of April 5 reported that Vincent Tan had refused Iain Moody entry to the Cardiff City FC directors’ box and had forced him to sit with away fans during Cardiff’s recent match against Crystal Palace.

We understand that in fact this was not the case and neither Mr Tan nor Cardiff City FC played a part in Mr Moody’s decision to sit with the away fans.
The club has confirmed that Mr Moody did not request entry to the directors' box and that, had he done so, he would have been afforded the same hospitality as any other guest from another club.

We are sorry that the original report was incorrect.

Proof that the Media has been villifying Tan this season. The stuff about him asking why Marshall hasn't scored etc. all a load of bollocks. I can't forgive the man for destroying our tradition (but has he really?) but he's really not as villainous as the media has been portraying him.

It makes you wonder how many other articles that are being printed daily about City are also made up ;)

But this forum is anti Tan so why has this been made a sticky?

This is going to upset Batman Blue.

If the other stories are not true why have there been no apology from the papers writing these articles? Surely these would have afforded an apology as well considering they were possibly more damning than the moody being rejected from the directors box story

You would also be very remiss after a newspaper has had to publish a retraction not to do the same.

"You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where “Cardiff City Football Forum | Cardiff City FC Messageboard” is hosted or International Law."

Some stories have already been dismissed , they wrote ogs was getting a fortune from tan to spend in the January window. Ogs said this had a detrimental effect, agents thought he had lots of money took the piss with their demands.

The Daily Mail have been spot on this season, so you will not see an apology from them

This forum will post both sides of every story as always,if its in the media

All the Tabloids papers embellish and even lie, that is part of their business model, to think otherwise, or to single certain papers out is sadly naive

I agree most papers are not gospel and many are bullshit, but this season the Mail has been spot on regarding City.

I have no doubt certain papers lie etc, but there is never any smoke without fire (Unless you have an E-cig)

If the stories released are not true why has no one at the clubbed dismissed them?

OGS never said he didnt have millions to spend. Just said it had a detrimental effect on his deals.

Haven't a few ex players come out and said Tan is mental as well? Coming from people who have actually been around him makes the stories even more believeable... Did you honestly believe the Kazakh painter story at first? I didn't but that turned out to be 100% true

Didn't say it was, fella

Was just acknowledging Annis' comment that The Mail were pretty much 'bang on' with their Cardiff City FC stories this season (hence the  ) when others are/were saying he was not putting out ALL the info ;)

I don't always agree with his views, but I will defend the fact that he puts all the info out there as it comes in (positive or negative) and regardless of his own thoughts. It is only later that he gives "his own views", usually after others have had their say first (usual suspects step forward, please!)

We don't want an apology. We want Sunderland and Palace to be deducted twenty points each ;)
