Just my thoughts on the players (flame away!

) we some of the players we have - missed some 1st team as well as some DVP.
Let me know what you think and what you think of the players listed [or not listed].
Marshall - Nothing really new to say about him - amazing to watch and regardless if we end up going down; I think we have a good shot at keeping him.
KTC - (Although it seems like his standard play) Will make a great defensive play, and then proceed to get burned. Will make a great run, and then proceed to pass it directly to the opposition. Still relatively young at 24, with some guidance could raise his standard of play, although I wouldn't be very surprised if we pick someone up to challenge him for his position or let him go.
Cala - Seems like he hasn't taken to the English style of play as of yet, he's made very clutch plays - and made some very unclutch plays xD I think he was rudely awakened to the physical play when he first got here, and is not trying to match it - but just maybe a bit to much... Another player who is only 24, I think he can come good if he lays off the finesse once in a while; when defending.
Caulker - Best defender on our team, competitive, tons of potentional at only 22 - would love to keep him if we go down, but can't say I honestly believe that he would.
Fabio - Came over and was very poor, but has worked into the team nicely, has been aggressive on the defensive side of the ball, the push on Larsson was a bit much, but shows how badly he wanted to make an impact and get back into things! Really like the link ups between him and Daehli, they make a very dangerous duo, was a bit frustrating how we would generally pump the ball down the other side of the field though. I think he's established himself well now and seems to improve each game.
Medel - Puts in great challenges, and shuts down passing lanes well; but for 11 mil I think we should expect more from him offensively. People say he always plays the safe pass, but when he does venture to play things forward it tends to connect directly to the opposition which has been frustrating to watch. I can see us keeping him as we'd probably want a better return on investment than he would probably get us right now.
Daehli - I'm a fan so anything I would say would be biased - hope to see his fitness improve next year and I don't mind if he's a bit smaller as some of you have pointed out, it really fits his play style and can't really remember him being shoved off the ball anymore than any bigger player.
Whitts - Seems very cool and collected - played some very neat balls forward where you think to yourself [Well there we go again just handing the ball over] and all of a sudden it's glued to a teammates foot.
Mutch - Honestly can't make up my mind with him. Great one game, totally turned off the next - I think there have been a few times where he tried for goal rather than look up and see an easy assist which somewhat gets to me. He can make great runs but it seems like he doesn't care much passing to Daehli or Fabio, and would be the one feeding it to KTC down the right or pass it back to Medel - not sure if I'm just looking to much into that or not, just an observation
Noone - Great player, sad to see him not out there playing these last few games. Has the same issue as Mutch once in a while, where he'll attack the goal rather than look up and see an open player from time to time, but that can be sorted.
Zaha - Has that same ability to lean in a bit closer to see what he's going to do as Daehli, but as a result often results in frustration. As posted on another thread, I think he looks good when he's moving, but when he's jammed up and trying a move on 2 or 3 defenders rather than dump it off and look for a better position it again gets a bit frustrating. Has plenty of talent, but needs to raise his game outside of the tricks - doing so will make them more effective.
Bellamy - Honestly I can't really see him on our team next year regardless of the league we're in. Don't think he has had much impact in the games he has played in.
Jones - Target man, has actually played a few smart balls to other players in scoring positions but it seems like he hasn't really gotten on the same wavelength with the other players. Needs to work on his teamwork a bit more and I could see him getting quite a few assists. I could also see him going at the end of the season regardless of which league we are in. Have a feeling Berget will be the man OGS wants playing in a SS position.
Campbell - Runs for days, but I wish Whitts could transfer some of his cool and calm personality to him once in a while as it looks like pressure will get to him from time to time. I mean it must be extremely high pressure knowing that everyone says Cardiff needs a striker, when you're their starting striker... Not sure if he'll be around next year regardless of which league we are in if we end up getting another striker.
As always just my .02
