Any first class decorators and I mean first class as were very particular - high standards - needing work inbox me or bell me tomorrow onwards

You can build the best house in the world but if it has a poor decorative finish it may as well be a council house .
So yes it is a trade and quite a skilful one when done properly

Decorating isn't just painting.A lot of decorators do covings,wallpapering,sanding back and of course glossing and emulsioning.

And if your painting fresh plaster you'll know a good painter/decorator because it'll all come out in the finish as a good painter will make sure he's made good the walls or any other surface before his final coat.Out of all the trades it isn't the most skilled but a trade it is.

As someone who buys and sells houses I can absolutely tell you decorating is a trade. Its massive in fact.
