Haven't posted here for months.
Just watched on as our season drifted from hope / achievement to....., well indifference.
Been passionate about Cardiff City since my first game at Ninian Park in 1966/67 season. More pain than any Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea fan can ever imagine watching my team, which was (and is) a massive part of my life, fail for the last promotion push....or fail to get the last game draw to prevent relegation. It hurts. God, it hurts.
Let me ignore blue / red. Malky. Tan. Insiders. People i know as friends as directors. Self interest. Lazy wanker players.
All I have wanted in 47 years of watching City was to play in the big league. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't give a fig if we lost every game. Honest!! Been disappointed at Gillingham, Hartlepool, Carlisle and Plymouth. Cambridge, Halifax, Macclesfield, Walsall and Torquay. Brighton, Exeter, York and .......................80 plus more. But was happy to go back again the following week because i retained "HOPE".
Have not been to single away game this year....
My most sought for and anticipated season has been mugged off me.
So disillusioned, I have barely arrived at home matches in time for kick off. Couldn't be arsed to go to the Villa game. Took rugby corporate for the Norwich game (but still missed the City so much I buggered off from MillStad to catch our 2nd half).
I guess the club that matters so much to me is now run and funded by people that do not understand my story. Shame. I, like so many others, have had their 'fairy tale season' stolen.
Big respect to those who have kept blind faith. Good friends of mine who still travel blindly.
will someone at the club PLEASE give me my hope back.
At the moment I carry soulless love.
