Are Cardiff City about to launch another complaint? I hope not

I hope Cardiff leave Sunderland’s off-pitch matters alone.

I was idly scrolling Twitter earlier on when I spotted a retweet from the official Cardiff City account that sent a shiver down my spine. They’d retweeted a football league story about AFC Wimbledon having three points deducted for fielding an ineligible player.

Here we go again! Another bunch of sour grapes have been purchased by the club. The tweet was quickly un-retweeted, if you will, but for a brief moment, I thought the club were about the become overdrawn in their dignity account.

Spygate was one thing but if Cardiff City are about to kick up a fuss over Sunderland playing ineligible players earlier this season, we should all just give up now.

I understand if the club feel aggrieved that Sunderland were dealt a lenient punishment for playing an ineligible player, Ji Dong-won, in four Premier League games. I get that. But their chance to complain about it has been and gone. When that story broke, no Premier League club made an objection to the fine dealt out by the league.

Now, in the aftermath of a stuffing by Sunderland, is not the time to moan about what’s gone on previously. Spygate might have some legitimacy to it; this stinks.

I’m not saying that Cardiff City will launch a complaint into the lenient punishment but I fear that they will. We are already a comedy club thanks to the the red kit, the badge and this whole season; we don’t need any more reason for clubs to laugh at us.

We are clutching at straws and we should just let them go. We haven’t been good enough on the pitch and that’s cost us massively. We need to get our own house in order before we look at the Premier League and their problems.

The sooner this season is over, the better. I’ve run out of ways to write about the problems at this football club.

The Metro is a free newspaper which says it all, more fans more contempt with seeing Tan suffer than seeing Cardiff actually get some justice/luck

Fully agreed. We should let other clubs do what they like and cheat :ayatollah:

Tell me why sunderland shouldn't get deducted points? Why should they get special treatment? Why shouldn't the rules apply to them but do to other teams?

because premier rules are different to league ones, also wombles player wasnt registered, sunderland player was registered at club but was on loan at another club, the problem was when he returned t0 them his international clearence wasnt done properley, this was pointed out by sland to premier league sland claimed it was a tech error and premier excepted this explanation and only fined them for breach of rules! hope this clears up matters

Correct! But why is the board suddenly flooded by negative rumors?

I can understand why the club are allegedly upset about this.

A question to the FA, to clear up any sort of confusion... Nothing shameful in that? :?

If we have a case then lets take it forward. Really don't see the problem here.

I bet they'd have something to say if we put Bale on the pitch for the last two games. Take the fines and let him tear Newcastle a new one. No points deduction either because they've already set the precedent with Sunderland.

Bale come home!! :laughing6: :ayatollah:

This was raised on sunday supplement a few weeks ago

and they were not happy about it theyve said exactly what we are saying now

over the time this ineligible player they only gained 1 point

now at the time it my be irrelevant but if Sunderland survive by 1 point there will be outrage from the relegated teams

also they did raise the point that if a club from the lower leagues had done this they would be docked points and they seem to be right

Unfortunately it's different organisations who hand out the punishments, PL offers different kinds compared to the Football League. But it proves how the PL only caters to make for a better brand not caring about an unfair playing field

Retweeting a tweet on our twitter feed is very different to actually sending a complaint. Jesus Christ
