Fire Sale ?

I don't think there will be one, cos no fcuka will want any of our players, apart from maybe Caulker.. Medel is not worth half what we paid for him :?

That's right, & if Malky & Co had done there jobs properly, half is exactly what we sould have paid for him.

i think your right about medel there, for everything he done so well for a big part of the season - break up play, play the easy ball, keep possession he's really dropped off. He's slow and hasn't got a cutting pass/final ball in him hence creates nothing and no goal threat. for 11mill centre mid you expect the complete package. If we'd have bought him for 6mill then fair enough...

Someone in Spain will buy Medel back off you for a few million. You'll get 7-9m for Caulker and I'm sure Marshall will go for 4-6 million. The rest are Championship players anyway apart from Mutch who for your sake you keep.Disastrous result for you today lads.

To be honest i think 6 million is to much for medel. He often gives the ball away needlessly

Looks like he's been saving himself for the world cup. He'll be gone by next season, I would have thought.

Agree, though I'm not sure if a Spanish club can afford to buy him back unless their one of the big 3 and they have better.

Medel will probably have an amazing World Cup and we will sell him on for a profit

The way football works at the mo Medel will probably go on loan to Spain, too expensive (and shite) for someone to buy.

Def need a clear out but it doesn't seem likely, who's paying for KJ ON >25 grand a week.

Maybe he'll go back to Seville. We had similar with De Guzman.Villareal got relegated and loaned him to us so like the poster below just said maybe that could happen.

Chaulker and Marshall will leave. Maybe Mutch and Daehli too. Don't rate Medel for that price he should be a lot better.

Yeah a loan is more likely

It also depends on how well he does in the World Cup

Dahli won't go, he's young and far from a top player yet. A season in the championship will do him good.

Clubs buy young players for potential as you are not gonna get a fully developed top player at 18 naturally. He has tons of potential for the future, he is probably not that expensive either. Could be a good investment for a mid table to lower table club.

Can't see anyone but chaulker and Marshall being a big transfer fee to be honest.

dahli wont go as hes friends with ole and needs more time to develope, marshal as stated hes happy at cardiff and need big bucks to sell him, i think people are getting ahead of themselves with some players mentioned who will go. not all sides relegated have sold there premier class players previously, we dont need to sell but some will go as waste of money and ole will want his own team not one inherited! which as patently not been good enough. :old:

He could have stayed at ManU played for the reserves waited for his chance with the first team possibly been loaned out to a championships side( I.e same position he will find himself in now). He is ambitious imo, plenty of teenagers would have been content to stay at a big club like Manu but he wanted to leave for his own development, so don't think he will hold himself back out of loyalty to OGS if given a chance to continue in PL.
Someone will bid for Marshall that i am sure of, i don't see him staying. I think we have to prepare ourselves for loosing all our best players.

you maybe right but will players want to go to teams that are surely going to struggle in premier next season as cant see top teams bidding for dahli, and most top sides have good goalies! like said relegation doesnt mean we lose our good players as are they not good enough to play for top half premier clubs? with exception of caulker :old:

First to go has to be Kenwynne Jones, what on earth possessed us to sign him?!

Absolutely shocking and should be nowhere near any premier league time, looks overweight, unfit and no interest other than picking up his wages every month!!!

Could be a good Championship player for you though? I think he's the type of player you'll keep because I can't see any PL side taking him off your hands.

Could do a job in the championship. Like all strikers though they thrive on service and ours in generally poor. Next year should be different.

He's not a bad player he's proved that in the past. He's just not PL quality anymore.I really think he could do well in the Championship for you with Noone and Mutch providing him with the service. And like you say next year will be different as the opposition will be a lot weaker. And if you do bounce straight back then get rid ASAP.

You are right none of our players are good enough to go straight into the starting line up at a top club, with the exception of Marshall. Not even chaulker. But these players are internationals playing in the championship is gonna put them at an disadvantage in this respect.
