More of a cant lose instead of a must win?

Sat Apr 26, 2014 8:18 pm

If we draw tomorrow we will be in the exact same situation really but gained a point on Norwich, I agree we sort of have to win to get out of relegation but its not a situation where if we draw were down it doesn't change anything but it means it's going to then ha be to be a must win at Newcastle.

Going to be thought tomorrow but hopefully we start bright and the crowd get on the Sunderland players backs.

Well done to all travelling up :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I think Wel need more than just 3 points to stay up

No logic in that whatsoever.

Win and we gain 3 points on one of our main rivals.

Must win.

Its more of a must win now Norwich lost and Fulham drew. If that makes sense.

It's a must win as to take over our relegation rivals but some people have said were relegated if we lose which we aren't

Officially no but we do need to win to get out and then hopefully stay out if we can't beat Sunderland tho I can't see us beating Newcastle or Chelsea

Must win, no doubt whatsoever.

Nah I make it a must win x 1000.

Sunderland's last 2 games are west brom and swansea. Fulhams last two are palace and stoke. our last 2 are newcastle and Chelsea.

Norwich I believe wont be a problem as they probably wont get another point.

We have to better Sunerland and Fulham. I just dont see us doing that unless we win tomorrow. Glimmer of hope is Chelsea will probably be out of the title race (maybe with a CL final around the corner), although even a dead rubber chelsea performance should beat us more often than they dont. So its all on tomorrow and newcastle away.

Absolute must win.

Tomorrow's a must win. No excuses. We can't afford to miss out on points when Fulham's last two games are Stoke and Palace and Sunderland's last two games are West Brom and Swansea. And it is still very possible for Norwich to beat Chelsea or Arsenal. It's in our hands so let's not mess it up.

Mustn't forget Sunderland have a game in hand.

Must win.

I think we need four points, but the win has to be tomorrow IMO.

I did the score predictor to see how we can stay up IF we draw tomorrow and get 3 points at Newcastle with a loss to Chelsea.

-We'd need Norwich lose their 2 hard games which looks likely.
-Fulham can win 1 and lose 1 v Stoke/Palace and lose out to us on GD.
-If Sunderland draw with us then a loss to Man U which is likely and then 2 home draws to WBA and Jacks would see them finish 1 point behind us. Can see them picking up 1 win their though.

So IMO a loss and we're down and a draw our main rivals will be Sunderland who I think will pip us on the final day.

Therefore MUST WIN.

We could stay up by drawing our last 3 games.

Anything less than 3 points tomorrow we are down

A win would be huge, a draw wouldn't be so bad but the Newcastle is must win win and we pray on other results.

see I am far less optomistic, and look at it slightly differently.

IMO a loss would be terminal, a draw would be very, very bad and a win would be a fairly decent chance of survival.

Even if we win, we are still dependent on beating newcastle and hoping that one of stoke and palace do a job on fulham for us. Remember they are mid-bottom third clubs with nothing to play for.

Whilst Newcastle are very beatable atm, we cannot base any hope of survival on getting anything from chelsea. Which means if we draw tomorrow, the most we can realistically hope for is 34 points. Theres no way that will be enough. We have to win tomorrow and against newcastle, and hope that other results mean chelsea is irrelevant, or that we can pull off a miracle on the final day....
