Tue Apr 22, 2014 8:23 pm

Martin odegaard is Another norwegian player(15) With a similiar playing style to Daehli, youngest ever to be in the norwegian tippeligaen, some say his even a bigger talent than Daehli.

Can't even compare them. Daehli is playing excellently in arguably the best league in the world, and has come through the Manchester United ranks.

Martin Ødegaard is said to be more talented than Dæhli was at the same age. (This is said by persons with close knowledge to both players.). Ødegaard has allready visited and trained with Academies/ youth teams of Man United, Bayern München and Borossia Dortmund. He has also been invited by Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Ajax. He has declined this invitations because his parents has decided that he should stay in Norway untill he finish middle school. He is now the youngest player ever to have played at the Norwegian top level.

So I believe it is fair to compare him to Dæhli. He has four more years to develop to reach the same level. Time will tell.

Just read up about him. It seems Bayern, Dortmund, Livepool, Man City among others all want to sign him, but his parents want him to finish secondary school before leaving Norway so have said no for now.

If a 15 year old is playing in the top Norwegian league it just shows how shit it is.

Aaron Ramsey debuted for Cardiff City when he was 16 year old. By your logic that shows how shit Cardiff is. I don't see it that way. If the player is good enough, he is old enough.

Time will tell - but would be nice to leverage Ole's Norwegian connections to bring some young talent from Norway.

Norway has been producing some great Midfielders as of late.

Your comparing a 15 year old kid with an 18 year old neither of which have done anything yet in their careers. Daelhi looks a hell of a prospect and I can certainly see him playing for a top team in Europe but there's still a long way to go you never know what may happen.

Haven't seen anything of this 15 year old to comment on but if top teams are trying to sign him to their academy then he must be a good prospect but there are lots of young players from across the world who have been in these academies and have failed to make it

Identifying future top players is like picking stocks. The best clubs invest in cheap projects with potential, but of course you'll never know which players will fullfill their potential. You can always wait and see, but by then the players value will have gone through the roof. Dæhlie seems to me allready proven value for money. Ole is known to take an interest in developing young players. This will of course take some time, but I believe he will get great results for the club that trust him in a long time perspective and give him the time needed.

By the way, here is an interesting article about Dæhli when he was 15 years old:

He played like the last minute of the last game of the season

If little boys can play in the Norwegian top league it just shows how crap it is.

The Tippeligaen just started their season up + He plays for the current #1 Team in their league - made a 20 minute appearance - still pretty special to see a player that young playing against and running at established first teamers. Also pretty sure there was a 16 year old who played in the EPL a few years back sooooo :P

I somewhat assume your post is just kinda trollish; if not I figured I'd drop a bit of info regarding the situation. :)

I do believe he's going to be better than Dæhli. But I worry for the Norwegian national team, because every good creative talent we have plays in that central/semi-wing midfield area. We've got like no good players in defence or attack, but like 900 huge talents in midfield, forming a queue.

We're going to have the best international midfield in the world one day, with a defence that couldn't even survive the championship, and no strikers to score goals.

I foresee Norway in the future will have to play 4-6-0:

................................Nyland...............................
Elabdellaoui.....Semb Berge....Strandberg/ Forren.....Vilsvik
.......................Nordtveit/ Tettey............................
............Singh/Eikrem...................Johansen..............
Sakor.................Ødegaard/ Skjelbred.................Dæhli

5-year perspective^^

That doesn't even leave room for players like Per Ciljan Skjelbred, (Hertha Berlin) Marcus Henriksen, (AZ Alkmaar) Joshua King, (Blackburn) Gustav Wikheim, (Strømsgodset) Tarik Elyounoussi, (Hoffenheim) and many more good midfielders.

Norway's never going to go to the world cup again :(

Any word on - Sander Svendsen for Molde? I had a friend who was at the game where he came in and scored - being 16 as well, but I can't really find anything on him or videos of his games.

Yeah but this is said by people in norway right? No offence but that is not the same as being touted in england.
I think you have to take into consideration that daehli was at manu academy, he was there with some of the best emerging talent in the world, pogba, ravel, adnan januzaj and managed to stand out. So i would say this kid needs to be tested against the best talent in his age group worldwide before you can say how good he really is. A lot of really talented kids go into those academies and don't even make it. From what i understand Daehli is the golden boy of Norway so it just seems like some coach is hyping this kid up not doing him any favours as he is extremely young and has hardly done anything.

Why are you even mentioning Singh(!!), Eikrem, Strandberg and Forren?

Sakor has always been playing CDM. Both in Rosenborg and Juventus. Putting him on the flank is like putting Kenwyn Jones between the sticks.

Nyland
Elabdellaoui - Nordtveit - Semb Berge - Hedenstad
Sakor - Skjelbred
Hansson - Ødegaard - Dæhli
Finne

In 5 years.

Rooney scored a winner at Arsenal to end the "invincibles" run of games without defeat at 16... How shit is the prem!!!
