Mon Apr 21, 2014 9:16 pm

He's got over 3.4k votes on twitter compared to Petr Cech's 770 votes. :ayatollah:

Talk about scraping a victory

Is he the greatest keeper ever at our club?

Marshall has been amazing but doesn't this 'saves' stat depend on the defence in front if a goalkeeper?

Chelsea have let in 26 goals and we have conceded 65. If Chelsea's defence was as cack as ours perhaps Cech would have made more saves.

The stats don't prove who the best goalkeeper has been this season - but our eyes do! Well done Marshall - you have been superb! :ayatollah:

Must say he has been outstanding and the one and only reason u are still in with a chance

But dont say much for your defence tho does it.
And u seam to be happy about the praise he is getting yet can u not see that it comes at a price.
He will be gone in the summer what ever league u are in.

Thank you David Marshall's agent for confirming he won't be playing for us next season.

Even if he does go, I won't begrudge him. He genuinely deserves a shot at playing at the highest level week in week out. Far too good for the Championship

I can't see what's so special about Cech anymore, Sunderland had 3 shots on target and he conceded 2, admittedly one was a penalty.

Chelsea would be kidding themselves if they think Cech is better than Courtois.

Save % is the best stat to compare goalkeepers.

He wasn't playing that match, it was Mark Schwarzer...

Yeah 100% agree. Without him we'd already be down.

But dont say much for your defence tho does it.

No as its been absolutely terrible at times. Its been hit and miss under both Malky and Ole. In my opinion, its got a bit better under Ole with the addition of Cala who's settled in well.

And u seam to be happy about the praise he is getting yet can u not see that it comes at a price.

Agreed. Im aware of that but either way, just like when Allen left you, we'll get money to reinvest. I have no qualms with that.

We need more goals: Cardiff keeper David Marshall demands better finishing from Bluebirds
DAVID MARSHALL has urged Cardiff's misfiring strikers to lift the burden of survival off his shoulders.

Only Crystal Palace and Norwich have scored fewer times than the Bluebirds in the Premier League this season.

“I'm happy to make saves and I'm going to have to do that until the end of the season because there will be games that we will have to be chasing. But we have to take our chances if we're going to win games”
David Marshall
And that has put the pressure on goalkeeper Marshall to earn his team points, just as he did again against Stoke on Saturday.

Marshall has made more saves than any other keeper in the top flight and has been Cardiff's star performer this season.

But with this Sunday's clash at the Stadium of Light looking like a relegation showdown with Sunderland, the likes of Fraizer Campbell, Kenwyne Jones and Craig Bellamy need to find their form.

Marshall, 29, said: "I'm happy to make saves and I'm going to have to do that until the end of the season because there will be games that we will have to be chasing. But we have to take our chances if we're going to win games.
