Next United manager

Mon Apr 21, 2014 1:33 pm

Not Cardiff related but threads like this are always fun. Looks like United have given Moyesy the boot, always find "Next manager" bets are very enjoyable.

Where's your money going? Literally any of them on this list could get it bar Sir Alex I feel, a lot of money can be made.

Has to be Klopp surely.

1) He's proven he can get young players playing
2) He's got the best out of Kagawa before
3) His teams play good football
4) He has the ability to convince some of the better Dortmund players to follow suit
5) Dortmund cant really compete at the moment on domestic level so does he just continue to settle for second?
6) He's had Dortmund overachieving at times for the squad they have in comparison to others
7) He can spot/nurture a talent - great if you're a businessman wanting to turn over profit
8) Manchester also have the infrastructure in which his philosophy can thrive - academies everywhere

He should have been their first choice last time but to be honest, it makes sense that he wasn't. Following Ferguson straight up would have been a nightmare for any manager to be honest. Klopp would go in now and would be expected to at first stabilise a sinking ship and then get it heading back in the right direction.

Klopp, Rodgers and Martinez are three of the most exciting younger managers in football. Its partly the reason why Im willing to give Solskjaer time to bring his players in, in the summer and build his team playing the smooth passing game that Molde FK played. It doesn't happen overnight, it takes time, but its amazing when it pays off.

I can see Rogers heading Barca's way if Liverpool win the title.

Same. I'd say he'd stay but then Liverpool's owners have stated numerous times they wont splash out. At Barcelona he'll be able to spend for fun. That's a massive incentive. Leave Liverpool as a legend and walk into a job where you've got plenty of players ready to fit your style of play and a massive cheque book.

If Liverpool add an owner like Man City's though I'd reckon he'd stay with them and continue on due to having funds.

They seem pretty confident they can get it removed or at the very least suspended.

Shouldn't be allowed but because it's Barca it probably will happen

No chance of getting Klopp, he is staying with Dortmund for a while.

Simeone obviously isn't going to leave unless he agrees to take over in the summer but United is a step down at this moment.

I can see them getting Hiddink to steady the ship for a year or two then try and get Klopp.

Klopp is staying at Dortmund apparently. They should have gone for pep before bayern got him. They will probably end up with van gaal now.

Style of play is everything to Barca. British managers have notoriously been hoofball merchants.....Rogers plays the Barca way.

Frank Rijkard just got this feeling mate

I was spot on with moyes but that was info based this is purely a guess

Van Gaal most likely, already said he wants to manage in the UK. I still can't see United sacking Moyes though simply as he's on such a large contract

It won't be the obvious suggestions.

Money I am going to put on is Malky for West Ham if Big Sam get's sacked in the summer or he will go to either Villa or Norwich...

If it comes to it, Redknapp leaves/sacked from QPR if they don't go up and they get Malky in.
